Presenting Color Directions by Industry
Samhwa Paints Industrial Co., Ltd. held its 2024 first-half trend seminar, ‘2024-25 SHIFT,’ at POSCO Tower Yeoksam in Gangnam-gu on March 26.
‘2024-25 SHIFT’ was attended by 240 people from over 70 companies, including architecture and interior industry experts, designers, and general consumers interested in color. At the seminar, the company presented color directions by industry, changes in lifestyle, and CMF (Color, Material, Finish) trends.
In particular, Samhwa Paints introduced the definition and application cases of Color Universal Design (CUD), as well as how to use its 1200 Digital Color Palette, drawing an enthusiastic response from attendees.
Color Universal Design is a color design approach that takes into account people with disabilities or color vision deficiencies so that products, buildings, and services can be used safely and conveniently. The 1200 Digital Color Palette is a digital color collection that renders in digital form 1,200 colors, including steady colors highly preferred by consumers and new trend colors.
Lee Sang-hee, head of Samhwa Paints’ Color Design Center, said, “We hold the seminar both online and offline every year, and we also offer customized on-site seminars at the request of client companies.” He added, “Drawing on its long-accumulated experience in trend analysis and its color expertise, the Color Design Center provides a variety of customized consulting services, such as new product design and brand color development for companies.”
