EcoVadis ESG Assessment
Achieved for Second Consecutive Year

KCC Glass (CEO Chung Mong-ick) has earned a 'Gold Medal' rating for the second consecutive year in the '2023 Sustainability Assessment' conducted by the global research agency EcoVadis.
Founded in Paris in 2007, EcoVadis is a global sustainability assessment agency that has evaluated some 100,000 companies across more than 170 countries to date. It conducts assessments across four categories — △Environment △Labor and Human Rights △Ethics △Sustainable Procurement — and the results are used among global companies to demonstrate each company's sustainability and fulfillment of social responsibility. Although the scoring criteria for each grade were raised in this assessment, KCC Glass delivered outstanding results by maintaining its Gold Medal rating, placing it in the top 5%, as it did in the previous assessment. In particular, the company scored 80 points each in the Labor and Human Rights and Ethics categories, posting scores well above the glass industry average across all four assessment categories.
Since its establishment in 2020, KCC Glass has joined the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) to take part in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and has worked to strengthen ESG management across the entire company by participating in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) and the Win-Win Growth Index assessment.
Last year, the company established an ESG Committee within its board of directors to advance its ESG-related decision-making framework, and through its ESG report unveiled a 2030 carbon emissions roadmap to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 20% in 2030 compared to 2019 levels.
A KCC Glass official said, "We are pleased to once again receive high marks for our ESG management performance from EcoVadis, a credible global assessment agency, following 2022," adding, "This year as well, we will continue the company's sustainable growth through various activities and investments to strengthen ESG management."
Meanwhile, KCC Glass is also being recognized for its ESG management performance at home, having earned an 'A' grade from the Korea Institute of Corporate Governance and Sustainability (KCGS) and an 'AA' grade from Sustinvest, both leading domestic ESG assessment agencies, last year.
