Global ESG rating agency

Ranks in top 5%

KCC Glass (Chairman Chung Mong-ik), which operates the interior-specialist brand Homecc Interior, has earned a 'Gold Medal' rating—placing it in the top 5%—in the '2022 Sustainability Assessment' conducted by global research agency EcoVadis.

EcoVadis is an organization that evaluates and certifies the non-financial ESG (environmental, social, and governance) activities of global companies, with an assessment scope spanning some 90,000 companies across roughly 160 countries worldwide. Its assessment covers four categories—△Environment △Labor and Human Rights △Ethics and Fair Trade △Sustainable Procurement—and, based on the results, awards ratings such as Platinum (top 1%), Gold (top 5%), Silver (top 25%), and Bronze (top 50%).

In this assessment, KCC Glass received high marks for establishing ESG-related policies and management procedures as well as for its participation in global initiatives.

Indeed, KCC Glass established a dedicated ESG department last year and has actively pursued ESG management, including introducing an ESG Committee and completing the establishment of ESG KPIs. In October last year, the company published its first ESG report, laying out its commitment to and achievements in sustainable management and transparently disclosing its ESG management strategy and status across each area. In particular, the ESG report drew attention by showcasing KCC Glass's diverse efforts to minimize its environmental impact, such as installing solar power generation facilities and obtaining the 'Global Recycled Standard (GRS)' certification for key products.

In addition, KCC Glass is committed to various global initiatives, having joined the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and participating in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP).
