KCC Glass (Chairman Chung Mong-ik) has opened in Busan the third 'HomeCC Classroom,' part of its ongoing project to improve children's educational facilities at community welfare centers.

KCC Glass's HomeCC Classroom is a social contribution initiative that draws on the business know-how and expertise of the interior specialty brand 'HomeCC Interior' to remodel aging educational facilities at local community welfare centers, with the aim of providing children with a high-quality learning environment.

The newly opened HomeCC Classroom No. 3 is located at 'Hwamyeong Community Welfare Center' in Buk-gu, Busan. Through the remodeling, HomeCC Interior's high-resilience cushioned flooring, flame-retardant interior film, and high-efficiency LED lighting were installed, transforming the space into a safe and comfortable educational environment with high energy efficiency as well.

Hwamyeong Community Welfare Center, now home to HomeCC Classroom No. 3, was established in 2004 by the Buk-gu District Office in Busan to provide various welfare services to local residents. As demand for elementary school childcare has recently grown, the center has been operating a care classroom, but remodeling was urgently needed due to aging facilities such as worn flooring and wallpaper. The HomeCC Classroom improved through this remodeling will be used as a learning and play space for children in care.

Earlier, KCC Glass opened its first HomeCC Classroom in July at 'Sanseong Community Welfare Center' in Sujeong-gu, Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, and in the same month opened its second at Seodaemun Community Welfare Center in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul.

A KCC Glass official said, "Building on the business know-how and experience of HomeCC Interior, we have opened HomeCC Classroom No. 3 in Busan, following Seoul and Gyeonggi," adding, "We plan to continue carrying out various activities in line with KCC Glass's social contribution vision of 'a happy world where we live together.'"
