Recessed and Fixed Types
KKDC announced that its LED lighting products have obtained Korean Industrial Standards (hereinafter KS) certification for the ‘Safety and Performance Requirements for Recessed and Fixed LED Luminaires’ from the KIEL Research Institute (formerly the Korea Institute of Lighting ICT). KKDC, which has established its manufacturing and production lines through in-house technology development, obtained KS certification for ‘Recessed and Fixed LED Luminaires (KS C 7653)’ this past September, following the ‘LED Landscape Lighting (KS C 7713)’ luminaire certification in 2022.
In addition to international certification standards such as the △Quality Management System certification (ISO 9001), △Environmental Management System certification (ISO 14001), and △Occupational Health and Safety Management System certification (ISO 45001), KKDC has now added KS certification, further strengthening confidence in its quality.
KS certification, which is granted to manufacturing plants, can only be obtained by fully completing a factory audit, standardizing not only the verification of products but also the components, inventory management, and production methods at the plant.
The certified products are KKDC’s recessed and fixed LED luminaires—△TIMI △LINI △MIMI △MOMO and other flagship product lines for commercial and office use—built on advanced technology and research. In addition, the Korea Energy Agency’s ‘High-Efficiency Equipment Certification’ for these product lines is scheduled to be completed within October.
