Only Interior Company to Achieve ‘Integrated A’ Grade for 10 Consecutive Years

Highly Rated for Greenhouse Gas Reduction and Shared Growth with Partners and Local Communities

LX Hausys earned an ‘Integrated A’ grade in the ‘2025 ESG Evaluation’ recently announced by the Korea Institute of Corporate Governance and Sustainability (KCGS), receiving Excellent (A) ratings in the environmental, social, and governance categories.

With this, LX Hausys became the only company in Korea’s interior industry to maintain an ‘Integrated A’ grade for 10 consecutive years.

First, in the environmental (E) category, LX Hausys received high marks for actively upgrading its manufacturing facilities and efficiently managing its energy consumption to reduce greenhouse gases, with a goal of achieving Net Zero by 2050. In fact, its energy consumption has recorded a declining trend for three consecutive years from 2022 to 2024. In the social (S) category, the company was highly rated for its efforts to pursue sustainable shared growth with partner companies and local communities. LX Hausys has been operating a ‘Win-Win Cooperation Fund’ and a ‘Shared Growth Win-Win Cooperation Fund’ to support the manufacturing competitiveness of its partners. This past October, it earned an ‘Excellent’ grade for the 11th consecutive year in the ‘2024 Win-Win Growth Index Evaluation’ announced by the Korea Commission for Corporate Partnership.

The company was also well regarded for operating the ‘LX Z:IN Interior Academy,’ a training facility for developing interior construction personnel, helping to resolve the difficulties faced by small and medium-sized construction partners struggling to secure a workforce. LX Hausys produces more than 1,500 graduates annually and connects them to employment with partner companies and dealerships.

In addition, LX Hausys received favorable ratings in the social (S) category for consistently carrying out social contribution activities that leverage its business capabilities since the company’s founding, including the ‘Group Home Living Environment Improvement Activity,’ which supports the renovation of living spaces for protected children and youth, and the ‘Green Childcare Space Transition Support Project,’ which supports the replacement of flooring in aging daycare centers. In the governance (G) category, the company earned high marks for solidifying its ESG management system, led by the ESG Committee newly established in 2022. These company-wide ESG efforts are also being recognized overseas. Earlier this year, LX Hausys was named an ‘Industry Mover’ in the ‘2024 Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA)’ announced by S&P Global, an honor given to the company in each industry group whose ESG management score improved the most.

An LX Hausys official said, “We believe that being selected for the ‘Integrated A’ grade in the ESG evaluation for 10 consecutive years is the result of our social contribution and shared growth activities that leverage our business capabilities being recognized,” adding, “As the importance of sustainable management continues to grow both at home and abroad, we will continue to pursue industry-leading ESG management.”
