The only company selected within the building-materials industry, earning high marks for sustainability
ESG score up 13% year-on-year, with strong evaluations in areas such as climate change strategy

LX Hausys has been named an ‘Industry Mover’ in the ‘2024 Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA)’ conducted by S&P Global, one of the world’s three largest credit rating agencies.
Each year, S&P Global evaluates the level of companies’ ESG (environmental, social, and governance) management and awards the ‘Industry Mover’ designation to the company in each industry group among the top performers whose score has risen the most year-on-year (by at least 5%). Last year, roughly 7,690 companies worldwide took part in the assessment, and of these 56 were selected as ‘Industry Movers.’ With its assessment score rising 13% from the previous year, LX Hausys was the only company within the Building Products industry group to make the list. LX Hausys earned high scores in categories such as climate change strategy, environmental policy and management, and risk management. In terms of ‘climate change strategy,’ the company was highly rated for its steady carbon-reduction efforts, including reducing greenhouse gas emissions for five consecutive years through 2023 by means of process innovation and other initiatives. In addition, the company was well regarded for its global-level environmental management capabilities—demonstrated by its continued attainment of the international standard environmental management system (ISO 14001) certification—as well as for its proactive supply-chain risk management, having introduced its first ESG training and consulting support program for partner companies last year. Through these high scores, LX Hausys was also listed for the first time as a member of the ‘S&P Sustainability Yearbook.’ Membership in the 2025 S&P Yearbook comprises 780 global companies ranking within the top 15% of assessment scores in their respective industry groups.
Meanwhile, LX Hausys was the only domestic interior company to be included in the ‘DJBIC (formerly DJSI) Korea Index’ for 10 consecutive years through last year, and it has also received an integrated grade of A in the ESG evaluation by the Korea Institute of Corporate Governance and Sustainability for nine consecutive years. The DJBIC Korea Index (Dow Jones Best-in-Class Indices) is an index published by S&P Global that comprehensively considers a company’s economic performance and ESG performance each year to assess its level of sustainable management.
An LX Hausys official said, “Through this selection as an ‘Industry Mover,’ our ESG management capabilities—which lead the domestic interior industry—have now been recognized in the global market as well,” adding, “Going forward, we will continue to strengthen the company’s sustainable competitiveness by practicing ESG management that responds to climate change and global environmental regulations.”
