Participates in KBIS, North America's Largest Kitchen & Bath Show

New Engineered Stone 'Viatera' and Solid Surface 'HI-MACS' Products

LX Hausys is picking up the pace in its push into the North American market, taking part in 'KBIS (The Kitchen & Bath Industry Show) 2022,' North America's largest kitchen and bath exhibition, where it unveiled new engineered stone and solid surface products featuring differentiated designs.

In connection with this, LX Hausys presented new engineered stone and solid surface products as well as installation case studies at 'KBIS 2022,' currently being held in Orlando, Florida, USA.

KBIS is a kitchen and bath exhibition with a history spanning more than 50 years. Despite the ongoing COVID-19 situation, this year some 400 companies from around the world are participating to showcase new products and the latest trends, making it a highly noteworthy exhibition.

The new products LX Hausys unveiled at this exhibition are two types of the engineered stone 'Viatera' and seven types of the solid surface 'HI-MACS.'

In particular, the 'Viatera-Calacatta Marina' and 'Viatera-Calacatta Verde' products—which subtly express navy- and green-toned vein patterns over the Calacatta pattern characteristic of natural marble—drew significant attention from visitors.

These new products add navy- and green-toned colors to the 'Viatera-Calacatta' collection launched by LX Hausys. In line with the trend toward premium materials in the kitchen and bath market, the 'Viatera-Calacatta' collection emerged as a popular model as soon as it was released and has been receiving an enthusiastic response.

In addition, interiors that use nature-evoking colors such as navy and green as accent points have recently been gaining popularity in North America, and these new products reflect this trend as well.

The solid surface products 'HI-MACS-Calacatta Luna' and 'HI-MACS-Pietra' also drew great interest from local builders for their designs, which naturally express the texture and organic flow of natural marble, and for their excellent workability.

Alongside this, LX Hausys held an event inviting major VIP clients, including North American building and kitchen companies, during the exhibition. Having significantly expanded its local production capacity in the first half of 2020 by adding a third engineered stone production line at its plant in Georgia, USA, the company is actively working to secure new business partners.

LX Hausys regards North America as a key market accounting for more than 70% of the global engineered stone market, with demand continuing to grow amid the trend toward premium materials. Accordingly, in 2020 the company invested USD 50 million to expand its production capacity by 50%, from the previous 700,000㎡ to 1.05 million㎡. LX Hausys currently ranks second in the North American solid surface market with an approximately 20% market share, behind DuPont, and holds fourth place in the engineered stone market with an approximately 10% share.
