Daesung HiEnergy Sys and SG Energy have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to advance a building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) energy business.
Daesung HiEnergy Sys, an affiliate of Daesung Industrial, is a market-leading company in the geothermal and air-source heat pump sectors, while SG Energy is a specialized BIPV company that ranks first in the domestic market with an annual BIPV module production capacity of 6MW.
Through this agreement, the two companies aim to proactively respond to the domestic market's shift toward the eco-friendly zero-energy building sector, and to target and expand the market by combining SG Energy's BIPV technology with Daesung HiEnergy Sys's eco-friendly renewable energy solutions.
Built on the strategic cooperation between the two companies, the agreement reflects their commitment to establishing a partnership in the BIPV business and building energy efficiency sectors.
Through this agreement, the two companies have laid the groundwork to pursue joint synergies across a variety of energy solution businesses going forward.
