Samhwa Paints ‘The Clash’
Application of scent-blended paint
Samhwa Paints Industrial Co., Ltd. (CEO President Oh Jin-soo) is sponsoring paint for the <2021 11th Gyeonggi International Ceramic Biennale>, held from October 1 to November 28.
Hosted by Gyeonggi Province and the Korea Ceramic Foundation, the Gyeonggi International Ceramic Biennale is an event in which ceramic artists from around the world take part to introduce global ceramic culture. This year, under the theme ‘Re-writing_ Re: Start,’ it was held simultaneously at the Gyeonggi Ceramic Museum in Gwangju, the Gyeonggi Living Ceramics Museum in Yeoju, the Gyeonggi Ceramics Art Museum in Icheon, and on an online platform.
During the Gyeonggi International Ceramic Biennale, Samhwa Paints sponsored paint for the Netherlands National Invitational Exhibition held at the Gyeonggi Ceramics Art Museum in Icheon to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Korea-Netherlands diplomatic relations. Experimental and creative works by contemporary Dutch ceramic artists are on display, and Samhwa Paints added meaning to the national invitational exhibition not only by providing paint but also by proposing orange, white, and blue color tones that symbolize the Netherlands.
In the exhibition hall, scent-blended paint from Samhwa Paints’ premium ‘The Clash’ line was specially applied. Created in collaboration with a perfumer trained at GIP, the French perfumery school (Grasse Institute of Perfumery), this product has no characteristic paint odor at all and is distinguished by the way its subtle fragrance enriches a space. In particular, by applying a scent evoking the beautiful natural scenery of the Netherlands, it created an exhibition space that delights all five senses.
A Samhwa Paints official shared, “Thanks to Samhwa Paints’ special paint and color proposals, the 2021 Gyeonggi International Ceramic Biennale was held as an even more colorful event.”
