LX Hausys: 'Clearly, Accurately, Consistently, and Courteously'

Featuring communication methods for conveying information and real-world application examples

LX Hausys is launching a 'customer-centered language initiative' that rephrases complex and difficult interior design terminology into expressions customers can easily understand.

In connection with this, LX Hausys has published 'The LX Z:IN Interior Customer Language Guidebook,' an employee training booklet containing know-how on using language tailored to the level of interior design customers.

'The LX Z:IN Interior Customer Language Guidebook' contains communication methods for conveying interior product and construction information based on four principles—clearly, accurately, consistently, and courteously—along with specific examples of how these have been applied to actual customer inquiries.

For example, when it comes to product description terms, it advises rephrasing 'windows with excellent shielding properties' as 'windows with excellent performance in blocking the hot heat that enters the interior during summer,' '5T-thick sheet flooring' as '5㎜-thick sheet flooring,' and 'artificial marble made of a non-porous material' as 'artificial marble made of a material with no holes.'

For construction terms, it recommends changing 'after curing, the bathroom masonry work and jendai installation will proceed' to 'after completing the interior protection work, bricks will be laid in the bathroom and a straight-line shelf will be installed,' 'we will do the floor kkadegi first' to 'we will do the floor-breaking work first,' and 'it needs sachum' to 'the open gaps need to be filled in.'

In fact, these customer-level terms have also been applied in responses to about 120 inquiries posted on the product and A/S pages of the LX Hausys customer service website (http://service.lxhausys.co.kr), earning a favorable response from customers using the website.

In addition, 'The LX Z:IN Interior Customer Language Guidebook' also includes commonly misspelled words used during the interior purchasing process, correct spelling rules, and proper notation for loanwords.

LX Hausys plans to distribute 'The LX Z:IN Interior Customer Language Guidebook' not only to employees but also to showrooms nationwide, which serve as the closest point of contact for customer consultations, thereby strengthening customer-centered communication.
