Taking the lead in promoting the ‘Residential Low-NOx Boiler Distribution Support Program’
Developing and distributing low-NOx conventional boilers as an alternative to condensing boilers
Kiturami Co., Ltd. (CEO Choi Jae-beom) announced that it received a total score of 669.1 points (out of 1,000) in the overall index of the ‘Korea Brand Power Index (K-BPI)’ published by the Korea Management Association Consulting (KMAC), being named No. 1 in the residential boiler category for the 22nd consecutive year.
The Korea Brand Power Index is an index that measures the influence and awareness of brands belonging to consumer goods, durable goods, and services closely related to consumer life. This survey was conducted among 11,800 general consumers across a total of 231 industry groups, including 86 consumer goods, 46 durable goods, 97 service industries, as well as Good Brands and NGO brands.
In this year’s survey, Kiturami Boiler ranked No. 1 in every evaluation category—including awareness, loyalty, image, purchase possibility, and preference—once again proving its standing as the nation’s longest-running boiler brand.
Kiturami has developed eco-friendly technology that minimizes the fine dust generated by boilers and applied it broadly, from condensing boilers to conventional boilers, taking the initiative in reducing air pollution and earning favorable evaluations from consumers.
In particular, since September of last year, Kiturami has taken a leading role in opening the way for the spread of eco-friendly boilers by airing a new TV commercial promoting the ‘Residential Low-NOx Boiler Distribution Support Program’ jointly pursued by the central and local governments to reduce fine dust, thereby raising consumer awareness.
As the ‘Special Act on the Improvement of Air Quality in Air Control Zones’—which mandates the installation of eco-certified boilers within air control zones—takes effect in April, the company plans to further accelerate the distribution of ‘eco-friendly boilers.’
In addition, the company is determined to usher in a 100% eco-friendly boiler era with no blind spots by launching new products within the year—including condensing boilers, low-NOx conventional boilers, and low-NOx oil boilers—that meet the new Ministry of Environment certification standards, which have strengthened the air pollutant emission criteria for residential boilers.
Meanwhile, since 2015—before the environmental labeling certification standards for residential conventional boilers were even established—Kiturami has developed and distributed low-NOx conventional boilers that reduce the emission concentration of nitrogen oxides (NOx), which cause fine dust, to 40 ppm or less, one-fifth the level of conventional boilers (173 ppm).
Unlike condensing boilers, these products do not produce acidic condensate and are relatively inexpensive, playing a major role in eliminating eco-friendly boiler blind spots such as residents of aging homes and low-income households who cannot install condensing boilers.
An official from Kiturami Boiler said, “I believe our dedication to technology development and new product research, driven by the conviction of supplying customers with the technologies and products they need, has earned favorable evaluations from our customers,” adding, “This year as well, we plan to repay our customers’ support by launching a variety of new products that live up to their expectations.”
