Dr.Home (CEO Hong Ki-hwan), a remodeling specialist company, and KT headquarters (CEO Koo Hyun-mo) announced that they have signed a memorandum of understanding to introduce AI space solutions for smart remodeling design and construction services.
Yoo Chang-gyu, head of the Gangbuk/Gangwon Corporate Customer Division at KT, and attorney Hong Ki-hwan, CEO of Dr.Home, who took part in this agreement, exchanged views on various construction and remodeling projects, including △ways to apply smart building-management solutions through remodeling, △establishing an architectural design vision and strategy that applies AI-based smart solutions, and △building device compatibility for smart solutions during remodeling construction.
At the event, Hong Ki-hwan, CEO of Dr.Home Co., Ltd., said, “Amid the growing size and demand of the domestic remodeling market, according to data released by the Korea Smart Home Industry Association, the domestic smart-home market is projected to grow significantly to approximately 31 trillion won by 2025.” He added, “However, because compatibility issues between smart-home and smart-building systems in conventional remodeling work have prevented customers from fully enjoying the convenience of smart solutions, Dr.Home Co., Ltd. plans to introduce KT’s AI smart solutions to seamlessly provide a variety of conveniences such as control of various home appliances and building elevators through IoT.”
Yoo Chang-gyu, head of KT’s Gangbuk/Gangwon Corporate Customer Division, said, “Going forward, the two companies plan to lead the market by pursuing the implementation of AI smart solutions in the remodeling of various aging buildings, and by applying smart-home and smart-building systems equipped with KT’s AI space solutions from the basic design stage of new construction and remodeling projects.”
