An international standard management method that prevents and manages accident risks at worksites
Recognized for its efforts to build a safe work environment, taking the lead in strengthening obligations
Daelim Bath, Korea's No. 1 bathroom company, announced that it has obtained the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (ISO45001) certification established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
The Occupational Health and Safety Management System (ISO45001) is a worker safety certification standard for occupational health and safety management, and an international standard management method for preventing and managing accident risks that may occur at worksites.
Daelim Bath was recognized for its efforts to build a safe work environment, such as rapidly inspecting and addressing risk factors and managing safety regulations suited to the work environment. In doing so, the company is taking the lead in preventing serious accidents and strengthening the safety and health obligations of business owners and management officers. In particular, this year the company completed inspections of the interior of machinery and installed netting above loading work areas to prevent falling-object accidents. It improved the work environment by operating air conditioners for the molding process in summer and heating equipment for the packaging and re-firing processes in winter. In addition, it installed locking devices on the wheels of mobile carts to prevent crushing accidents.
Beyond this, the company conducts various training programs—including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), automated external defibrillators (AED), emergency evacuation drills, and fire safety—to establish employees' awareness of occupational health and safety.
Kim Tae-ho, Vice President of Daelim Bath, said, "We are doing our utmost in the proactive prevention of safety accidents to create a safe work environment," adding, "Going forward, we will continue to establish various systems and strategies based on sustainable management to build a systematic management system."
Meanwhile, Daelim Bath had previously obtained international standard certifications for the Quality Management System (ISO9001) and the Environmental Management System (ISO14001).
