Proprietary ultra-slim, anti-fouling technology: “Strengthening in-house R&D capabilities”

‘Cera Slim’ and ‘Cera Clean’ lead the bathroom sector at home and abroad

DL Bath, Korea’s No. 1 bathroom company, announced that it will continue to lead the bathroom sector as it renews the naming and BI of two of its sanitary ware technologies.

The two technologies DL Bath has renewed are ‘Cera Slim,’ an ultra-slim technology, and ‘Cera Clean,’ an antibacterial, anti-fouling technology. To better convey the competitiveness of its stain-resistant, specially coated ceramics, the company changed the previous names ‘Neo Cera’ and ‘N Cera Clean’ to names built around the letter ‘C,’ which evokes a sleek and smooth image.

Through its Cera Slim technology, DL Bath produces sanitary ware that is a mere 4 mm thin yet highly durable. The ultra-slim washbasins made with this technology offer a design free from a bulky, heavy feel while remaining sturdy. In addition, by accentuating soft curves and straight edges along the rim of the washbasin, the technology makes it possible to create a refined and elegant bathroom interior.

Cera Clean is a technology developed by DL Bath that applies a special coating to the surface of ceramics to enhance their antibacterial and anti-fouling performance. The technology involves applying a thin layer of glaze containing antibacterial silver ion components to the ceramic surface, smoothing the product’s surface to prevent contaminants from adhering and to inhibit bacterial growth. Because water stains do not form, a glossy surface can be maintained with simple rinsing alone, and the technology is applied to numerous DL Bath sanitary ware products, including its integrated auto-flush bidets.

Meanwhile, DL Bath plans to solidify its unrivaled position through its Cera Slim and Cera Clean technologies and to expand the product lineup to which they are applied.

A DL Bath official said, “We carried out this naming and BI renewal with the aim of strengthening DL Bath’s own proprietary Cera Slim and Cera Clean technologies and their related product lines,” adding, “Rather than resting on our status as the industry’s No. 1, we will continue to lead the bathroom sector at home and abroad by ceaselessly developing our own technologies.”
