Internal cleaning and grease replacement service provided free of charge
Southern region’s largest DeWALT Busan direct-operated service center opens
‘DeWALT,’ the premium professional-grade power tool brand of Stanley Black & Decker Korea (CEO Hong Sung-wan), the world’s largest tool company, announced its plan to provide a spring-season ‘Free Hammer Drill Inspection Service’ at designated direct-operated service centers through March 31, and also revealed that on the 2nd it newly opened the southern region’s largest direct-operated service center in Busan.
Through the end of this month, DeWALT is carrying out a free inspection service for corded and cordless hammer drill products at its direct-operated service centers in Gyeonggi, the central region, and Busan. As hammer drills are mainly used for concrete drilling and demolition work, their parts are prone to wear and their impact force is prone to weakening, making regular inspection essential. Through this inspection campaign, customers using hammer drills can receive internal cleaning and grease replacement services free of charge, though additional costs may apply if, during the inspection, parts are determined to require replacement due to wear and damage.
Applying for the free inspection service is simple. Customers can apply by visiting the DeWALT direct-operated service centers for Gyeonggi, the central region, and Busan—located in Anyang, Cheonan, and Busan—in person, and those who find it difficult to visit in person can submit a request through the HomePick A/S service, the first of its kind introduced in the tool industry. The HomePick A/S service is a contactless service in which a technician visits the work site or home directly to provide prompt service, from pickup all the way to repair.
In addition, DeWALT opened the region’s largest direct-operated service center in Busan on the 2nd in order to expand customer touchpoints and A/S service accessibility for customers in the southern region. The Busan center offers not only A/S service but also a showroom where customers can try out new products firsthand, and customers can receive product recommendations suited to their work environment and intended use from professional engineers along with detailed explanations. This service center provides A/S service not only for DeWALT but also for Stanley, Stanley Black & Decker’s hand tool and power tool brand, and Black & Decker, a lifestyle-leading home appliance brand.
Hong Sung-wan, CEO of Stanley Black & Decker Korea, said, “We are making multifaceted efforts to enhance customer satisfaction not only in developing innovative product technologies that meet the needs of on-site workers, but also in terms of after-sales service,” adding, “With the DeWALT free hammer drill inspection service and the opening of the Busan service center, we hope that all customers in Korea can use our products without inconvenience, and we will continue to deliver a positive brand experience through leading customer service.”
