IoT product manufacturer Lamax Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Sang-min) is introducing in-home IoT products that protect residents' lives and safety in an era of growing single-person and elderly households, and is aggressively targeting the related market. Lamax's IoT products—including gas shut-off valves, digital door locks, smart plugs, open-detection sensors, and smart light switches—can be conveniently used by connecting to a wireless router (Wi-Fi). A key feature is that, regardless of telecom carrier, users can connect a 2.4GHz home wireless router to Lamax IoT products to check product status and control them remotely via smartphone even when away, and the products can be used on any device, including Android and iPhone.
In particular, Lamax IoT products can be effectively deployed in single-person and elderly households, which tend to have heightened anxiety about security and safety. The Lamax IoT gas shut-off valve 'Gasmo (GD-2060S IoT)' is equipped with an automatic gas shut-off function using high-temperature and smoke detection sensors, and offers a variety of functions to prevent gas-related casualties that can be controlled remotely via the mobile app—including remote valve lock control, status checks (valve open/locked), battery level and real-time temperature display, smoke detection status checks, and real-time notifications.
Likewise, the Lamax IoT digital door lock allows functions for secure home protection—such as lock/unlock control, door lock status checks, door open status, door lock access history, and setting temporary passwords—to be controlled remotely through the smartphone app, giving peace of mind to single-person households as well as guardians of young children or elderly family members in their daily lives. Both primary and auxiliary locks are available for customized installation, and a wide range of choices is offered, from a basic touch-type model to a drill-free door lock product with fingerprint recognition.
In addition, the Lamax 'smart plug' features high-temperature detection and overcurrent shut-off functions, allows users to remotely cut power to home appliances when going out, and includes a scheduling function (turning the plug on/off) by day and time. The Lamax 'IoT open-detection sensor' sends real-time notifications to the smartphone when the sensor detects an opening.

Founded in 1988, Lamax is a specialist in gas shut-off valves, digital door locks, and IoT devices and system services. It has pursued steady annual growth, obtaining a gas shut-off valve patent registration and Korea Gas Safety Corporation product certification and participating in the timer cock distribution program in 2007, launching a digital door lock in 2009, and developing IoT gas shut-off valve and door lock devices in 2018.
