Royal Copenhagen, the Danish royal porcelain brand with 246 years of tradition, has opened a new store at 'Lotte Department Store Dongtan,' the largest department store in Gyeonggi Province and Lotte's first new opening in seven years.
The new Royal Copenhagen Lotte Dongtan store is the 23rd store operated by Royal Copenhagen Korea in the country, following the 'The Hyundai Seoul' store in Yeouido that opened this past February. Located on the sixth floor—where living and home appliances come together to transform the entire floor into a large curated showroom—the new store is designed so that customers can view and experience the history and elegance of Danish royal porcelain at a glance.
At the new store, Royal Copenhagen presents refined table settings that bring together the brand's unique craftsmanship and artistic value. It offers customers fresh inspiration through table settings that mix and match a wide variety of plates, bowls, footed pieces, and teaware—items still crafted through the artisan's meticulous handwork to this day, transcending the brand's long history. Customers can also encounter, all in one place, porcelain collections that distill the brand's heritage—from the classic designs that Royal Copenhagen has carried on since its founding in 1775 to the contemporary designs created in collaboration with present-day artists.
In addition, Royal Copenhagen has partnered with 'Sky Patio by Ryunique,' a brunch restaurant located on the same sixth floor as the store, to let customers experience Royal Copenhagen firsthand. By serving food on Royal Copenhagen tableware, customers can try the products in use and, if they like a piece used at the restaurant, purchase it right away. At Sky Patio, the original menu creations of Ryunique's Chef Ryu Tae-hwan are served on pieces such as the Royal Copenhagen Blue Mega Oval Dish, the Princess plate, and the White Half Lace plate, offering a distinctive fine-dining experience.
A promotion has also been prepared to celebrate the opening of the Royal Copenhagen Lotte Dongtan store. Exclusive promotional items including the Blomst mug, the Blue Mega plate, and the Princess coffee cup are on offer, and customers who purchase above a certain amount will receive a table mat as a gift.
