JTBC drama ‘Reborn Rich’

Around 100 pieces of tableware and more

Royal Copenhagen, the 247-year-old Danish royal porcelain brand, announced that it has sponsored tableware products for the JTBC drama ‘Reborn Rich,’ starring actor Song Joong-ki.

Since its founding in 1775 under the patronage of Queen Juliane Marie of Denmark, Royal Copenhagen has produced its wares using traditional handcrafting techniques to this day, bringing the timeless artistic value of luxury into everyday life.

The main sponsored products officially provided include a total of around 100 pieces of tableware, teaware, and interior objets — among them ‘Blue Half Lace,’ distinguished by its delicate hand-painted lace; ‘Blue Mega,’ which enlarges the classic pattern on a grand scale; and ‘Blomst,’ meaning ‘flower’ in Danish.

As the drama has drawn growing buzz and higher ratings with each episode, the teaware prominently featured in various scenes has also been attracting attention. In particular, Royal Copenhagen’s ‘Blue Mega’ cup and saucer and ‘Blomst’ mug and teacup were used in scenes featuring key characters, including the protagonist Jin Do-jun (played by Song Joong-ki) and Jin Yang-cheol (played by Lee Sung-min).

An official from Royal Copenhagen Korea said, “Because the drama is set against the backdrop of Korea’s foremost conglomerate family, we provided a wide range of the most popular hand-painted lines from Danish royal porcelain — pieces imbued with the dignity and value befitting such a setting,” adding, “We hope viewers will also enjoy spotting Royal Copenhagen as it adds luster to these immersive scenes.”
