Wins 80 Awards in Total, Including a Gold Award for the ‘Bespoke Infinite Line’ Appliances

A Kitchen Appliance Suite Comprising a Refrigerator, Wine Cellar, Oven and Hood

Samsung Electronics received a total of 80 awards, including one Gold Award, at Germany’s international design competition, the ‘iF Design Award 2023 (International Forum Design Award 2023).’

Launched in 1953 under the auspices of Germany’s International Forum Design, the ‘iF Design Award’ comprehensively evaluates design distinctiveness and impact across a total of nine categories: △Product △Packaging △Communication △Concept △Interior △Architecture △Service Design △User Experience (UX) and △User Interface (UI).

Samsung Electronics won 32 awards in the Product category—including the Gold Award-winning ‘Bespoke Infinite Line’—along with 35 awards in the UX/UI category, 11 in the Concept category, one in the Communication category and one in the Packaging category.

The Gold Award-winning ‘Bespoke Infinite Line’ is a kitchen appliance suite comprising a refrigerator, wine cellar, oven and hood. By applying distinctive materials such as aluminum, stainless steel and ceramic, it delivers a cohesive design imbued with a premium lifestyle sensibility.

The ‘Bespoke Infinite Line’ refrigerator maximizes the customer experience through distinctive convenience features such as the ‘Auto Open Door,’ which lets users easily open the door simply by touching the sensor without a handle; the ‘Auto Dual Ice Maker,’ which allows ice to be enjoyed according to taste or purpose; and the ‘Auto Fill Water Purifier,’ which automatically fills the container with purified water.

In addition, the Infinite Line’s built-in oven and hood, which blend well with premium kitchen furniture, were installed together to complete a luxurious kitchen interior.

At the ‘iF Design Award 2023,’ Samsung Electronics was recognized for excellent design across all fields, including Product and UI, and with 80 awards it continued its record for the most awards ever, following on from last year.

Beyond the Gold Award-winning product, other winners in the Product category included △the ‘Odyssey Ark,’ a next-generation gaming screen that delivers maximized audiovisual immersion and lets users adjust the screen to their desired size and ratio; △the ‘Galaxy Z Flip4 Bespoke Edition,’ which can be used by combining the front and rear covers into up to 75 variations according to taste; and △the ‘Bespoke Jet,’ a cordless vacuum cleaner featuring an all-in-one Clean Station that combines dust emptying and a charging cradle, finished in the popular colors of Bespoke appliances.

In categories other than Product, winners selected for excellent design included △the ‘Sign Language Guide TV UX,’ in which an on-screen avatar explains TV setting menus and more in sign language for the hearing impaired; and △‘Samsung Space Tycoon,’ which used a management simulation game (tycoon) format to let participants directly enjoy the items and experience Samsung Electronics products.
