Germany's Deceuninck Group integrates brand management; Samik Industries adopts a 'seamless welding machine.'
Eco-friendly building materials company Samik Industries Co., Ltd. announced that the German-style system window 'INOUTIC,' which it directly imports, manufactures, and distributes, has had its brand name changed to 'Deceuninck' in accordance with the German headquarters' brand integration management policy.
Regarding the brand renewal of the German-style system window brand Deceuninck, the German Deceuninck Group stated that this is not simply a name change but an expression of the Deceuninck Group's commitment to providing consumers with the highest value the Deceuninck brand pursues, adding that it will strive to become a brand that consumers trust and love on the basis of top-quality products and services that set it apart from competitors.
Deceuninck, one of the world's three largest uPVC profile companies, manufactures high energy-efficiency uPVC window and door systems and composite application products for the architecture and construction industries. It has 33 subsidiaries and 4,500 client companies across 90 countries worldwide and holds more than 200 patents. The company's management philosophy—sustainability through a circular economy, relentless innovation, and creative design—has been the driving force behind its position as a global leader in the high energy-efficiency industry.
Thin uPVC profiles have a lower thermal transmittance than thick PVC profiles, giving them superior insulation performance. The Deceuninck Group has enhanced the reliability of its business and products by managing the entire process in-house at its headquarters, from directly extruding and producing profiles to manufacturing the windows themselves.
Deceuninck's main window products are 'LEGEND' and 'ZENDOW,' and Samik Industries is switching its supply from the existing INOUTIC 76 series to products such as Deceuninck LEGEND 80 and 149. In particular, Samik Industries has adopted the V-PERFECT seamless welding machine from Italy's Graf Synergy—Europe's finest and most advanced equipment—to supply perfectly finished products with no corner seam line (White Line). Generally, when joining profiles, the cross-sections are melted and pressed together, requiring a finishing operation to remove the burrs that protrude at the joint. The seamless welding machine requires no separate removal work, resulting in higher quality completeness and no concern over leakage defects.
Among the Deceuninck LEGEND 80 series, the T/T is designed as a high-insulation, high-airtightness system window with 6 chambers and triple gaskets, boasting the highest levels of airtightness, watertightness, and sound insulation performance. To minimize heat loss through the frame, Deceuninck welds a TPE gasket—supplied integrally with the profile from the profile design stage—together with the frame to enhance airtightness. In an insulation performance test using high-insulation triple glazing, the product recorded the lowest thermal insulation value in Korea (thermal transmittance UW: 0.688 W/㎡·K) using a thinner PVC profile than competitors, earning a Grade 1 rating.
The Deceuninck LEGEND 149 series L/S profile is the world's easiest airtight sliding system, featuring a modern yet classic design that optimizes insulation and airtightness. It has the lowest defect rate among domestic system windows and satisfies both the convenience and airtightness of the conventional sliding open/close method. In addition, it applies soft-closer hardware to enable semi-automatic opening and closing.
Meanwhile, Samik Industries' Window Division is the only company in Korea to directly import, manufacture, and distribute a variety of systems, including the American-style system window 'SWING PLUS,' the German-style system window Deceuninck, and the world-renowned skylight brand 'VELUX.' The American-style system window 'SWING PLUS,' which Samik Industries' Window Division has independently developed, produced, and distributed since 2010, developed a new frame in 2018 capable of accommodating 35㎜ triple glazing and received a domestic energy-efficiency Grade 1 rating. Deceuninck signed an exclusive sales agreement in 2014 and has been supplying high-performance German system windows in Korea. 'VELUX,' the world's No. 1 skylight in market share, is also directly imported and distributed by Samik Industries. 1588-3648
