Sponsors its high-quality eco-friendly ‘i-Saenggak’ paint series
Held under the theme ‘A Journey of Exploration Beginning from Clay’
Samhwa Paints Industrial Co., Ltd. has participated as an official sponsor of the ‘Contemporary Ceramics-Odyssey’ exhibition being held at the Gyeonggi Museum of Art located in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province.
Hosted by Gyeonggi Province and organized by the Korea Ceramic Foundation and the Gyeonggi Museum of Contemporary Ceramics, ‘Contemporary Ceramics-Odyssey’ is a permanent exhibition running for three years under the theme ‘A Journey of Exploration Beginning from Clay.’
The ‘Contemporary Ceramics-Odyssey’ exhibition introduces the beauty of 20th-century contemporary ceramics, which moved away from pre-modern ceramic handicraft and established ceramics as an art form. Some 260 contemporary ceramic pieces from the collection are on display in ‘Contemporary Ceramics-Odyssey.’ In particular, visitors can encounter three-dimensional sculptural forms and diversified contemporary ceramic works alongside works by leading artists who became the starting point and roots of ceramic history.
Samhwa Paints provided its high-quality ‘i-Saenggak’ paint series for this exhibition. Using a rich palette of colors, Samhwa Paints created an exhibition space that heightens focus on the works and allows visitors to immerse themselves in their worlds. ‘i-Saenggak’ is a high-quality paint that can be used with peace of mind even where children are present, and it is an eco-friendly product that has obtained Environmental Labeling Certification and Eco-Friendly Building Material Certification.
An official from Samhwa Paints said, “This exhibition is an opportunity to appreciate both ceramics that represent Korea and the color expression of Samhwa Paints, a color specialist company,” adding, “It will be a valuable time to explore Korea’s contemporary ceramic art.”
Meanwhile, since signing a business agreement with the Korea Ceramic Foundation in 2021, Samhwa Paints has sponsored paint for the ‘2021 Gyeonggi International Ceramic Biennale’ and the Yeoju ‘Relay Special Invitational Exhibition.’
