Samsung C&T's landscaping product composed of three concepts
Landscaping that allows small-scale activities and captures the feel of untouched nature
Samsung C&T's Engineering & Construction Group (CEO Oh Se-chul) announced that it has developed a new landscaping product, ‘Nature Gallery,' to be applied to Raemian complexes.
To develop this new landscaping product, Samsung C&T went through processes such as consulting with outside experts and gathering the opinions of residents last year. Starting with Raemian One Bailey, which is currently under construction, the company plans to apply it to the landscaping of Raemian complexes going forward.
Nature Gallery is characterized by its reflection of recent residential trends—namely a social mood that favors small-scale activities and growing demand for landscaping that preserves the feel of untouched nature. In addition, the company plans to transform spaces that have previously received little attention, such as the rear of residential buildings and the shaded areas between buildings, into stylish spaces.
Nature Gallery is largely composed of three concepts: △Grand Forest △Shade Lounge △Grand Lake.
Grand Forest, under the theme of ‘immersion given by nature,' is a space that creates forest scenery within the apartment complex and establishes circulation paths centered on nature. This space, surrounded by trees, is designed to minimize outside views into it, and the installed facilities are also planned to make maximum use of natural materials.
Shade Lounge, under the theme of ‘a sensory touch in everyday life,' is a space where plants suited to each area's growing environment are naturally arranged in spaces that had previously received little attention in landscaping design, such as the rear of residential buildings or the shaded areas between buildings. In addition, through photo spots and prop installations, the company plans to make it a trendy space for generations that enjoy social media.
The concept of Grand Lake is ‘nature that becomes a work of art.' The company creates and provides residents with a nature-like work of art in which large-scale water features and sculptural elements are blended together. Galleries and stands are placed within the water feature area, and along the outer edge of Grand Lake, a walking path offering a sense of openness is planned.
Samsung C&T stated that Raemian's landscaping aims for scenery as found in nature, and that it plans to provide residents with a space where they can enjoy diverse experiences and healing amid nature.
Meanwhile, Samsung C&T has steadily developed and advanced a variety of landscaping concepts—such as artificial rock gardens (Seokgasan) and ecological stream gardens within complexes, garden styling, cool-mist pergolas, and the piloti garden, a building-specific specialized landscaping feature—and has been presenting them to Raemian customers. Raemian's landscaping has won the IFLA (International Federation of Landscape Architects) Awards 11 times and the Asia Design Prize for two consecutive years, providing differentiated value to Raemian residents.
