‘Fun Playground’ Bathroom Stories, Submissions Accepted Until July 31

Create a 29-Second Video of Stories That Unfold in the Bathroom

Saturn Bath (CEO Jeong In-hwan) is holding a call for entries for the ‘Saturn Bath 29-Second Film Festival.’ The festival is co-hosted by Saturn Bath, a bathroom specialist company, and the Korea Economic Daily, and organized by the 29-Second Film Festival Secretariat. The event was arranged by Saturn Bath—which has led innovation in residential environments for 35 years now—to spread a healthy awareness of bathrooms.

There are two entry themes: ‘A Bathroom Story of Sharing [ ]’ and ‘A Healthy Playground All Our Own, the Bathroom.’ Participants can capture a wide range of stories that unfold in the bathroom—such as self-care, family love, and healing—in a 29-second video. Entrants may choose one theme or make use of both. The competition is divided into a general division and a youth division, and works that negatively affect the host companies’ image will be excluded from judging. Submissions are accepted online through the official 29-Second Film Festival website until 5 p.m. on July 31. Total prizes are awarded, including 5 million won for the Grand Prize winner and 2 million won for the Best Award in the general division. The awards ceremony will be held online in August, and winning works will be selected through preliminary and final rounds of judging. The selected works are set to be used as content promoting bathroom culture through various channels going forward.

Alongside the film festival, supporters called ‘29 Friends’ are also being recruited. Anyone interested in video production and film festival activities can apply individually or as a team. Supporters carry out a variety of activities, such as submission missions and online promotion missions, and each team is provided with an activity stipend and a certificate of completion. Outstanding supporters receive various benefits, including an additional activity stipend, preferential treatment when applying for jobs at Hankyung Media Group affiliates, and a goods kit.
