KCC Glass HomeCC Interior flooring, excellent durability and walking comfort
PS certification awarded by the Korea Kennel Club and KOTITI Testing & Research Institute
‘HomeCC Interior,’ the specialized interior brand of KCC Glass (CEO Chung Mong-ik), announced that its premium residential flooring product ‘Soop Hyugaon’ has earned ‘PS Certification (Pet Product Certification).’
PS Certification is a quality certification system in which the Korea Kennel Club and KOTITI Testing & Research Institute, a state-accredited testing organization, recognize the excellence of pet products that meet safety standards.
Soop Hyugaon is HomeCC Interior’s top-tier PVC flooring, which reproduces the feel of natural materials such as marble and solid wood in a luxurious and delicate manner. It features a ‘Dual process’ that combines a high-strength transparent layer with a highly elastic cushion layer, giving it outstanding durability against dents and scratches while providing reduced household noise and comfortable walking comfort. Through a renewal last year, wide-plank floor designs—highly preferred in the flooring market—and 600㎜ square-type products were newly introduced, further strengthening its design distinctiveness. With their thick cushion layers and excellent water resistance, PVC flooring products have recently drawn attention as pet-friendly flooring. Heo Hyeok, president of the Korean Society of Interior Designers (KOSID) and CEO of Design Tomorrow, explained, “Compared to tile or hardwood, PVC flooring not only absorbs the impact placed on a pet’s paws when jumping or landing, but is also resistant to moisture and has few seams, so it does not rot and is easy to clean even when a pet has a toileting accident—making it a flooring well suited for pets to live on.” In 2020, HomeCC Interior became the first in the PVC flooring industry to receive PS Certification with its ‘Soop Dodam’ product. With Soop Hyugaon now newly earning certification, HomeCC Interior has expanded the range of flooring choices for pet-owning consumers to include its most premium products.
Meanwhile, KCC Glass HomeCC Interior’s PVC flooring products were recognized for their outstanding quality by ranking first in the PVC flooring category for the 14th consecutive year in the ‘2023 Korean Quality Excellence Index (KS-QEI)’ hosted by the Korean Standards Association last year.
