'The Time to Make the World, 3 Minutes' — Create a Video Using the Company's Tools

Connecting with those who make the world, from job sites to DIY

Stanley Black & Decker Korea (CEO Hong Sung-wan), the world's largest tool company, is holding a three-minute video content contest through May 27 under the theme 'The Time to Make the World, 3 Minutes' (Semansi, For Those Who Make the World).

Under its corporate mission 'For Those Who Make the World,' Stanley Black & Decker is holding the contest to connect with people who build and reshape the world through effort and inspiration. For the contest, participants simply use tools from Stanley Black & Decker's flagship brands — DeWalt, Stanley, and Black & Decker — to freely express their ideas in a video of three minutes or less.

Anyone aged 13 or older can enter 'Semansi.' In line with the theme, participants can create and submit their own videos, such as fun and useful clips showing how to use the company's products or offering usage tips, moving videos featuring the creation of public installations, or footage of making something using the tools.

The video contest is divided into a student division and a general division, and entries can be submitted through the official 'Semansi' website until May 27. Winners will be announced in June via a notice on the contest website. Awards will be given to a total of 16 individuals or teams: a Grand Prize (2 recipients) of 5 million won, an Excellence Award (4 recipients) of 2.5 million won, and an Encouragement Award (10 recipients) of 1 million won.

Hong Sung-wan, CEO of Stanley Black & Decker Korea, said, "We believe that even a single act of tightening a screw or driving a nail, whether at home or on a construction site, is part of building the world. We decided to hold this contest to express our gratitude for the passion and hard work of people who are working in a wide variety of environments right now," adding, "As a global power tool leader, we will continue to take part in making the world and become a company that communicates with consumers in many different ways." This 'The Time to Make the World, 3 Minutes' video content contest is co-hosted with the Dong-A Ilbo.

Meanwhile, 'Stanley,' Stanley Black & Decker Korea's power tool and hand tool brand, is running a purchase-verification event through April 30 for customers who buy its 'Slim Grinder' product. This event is open to all customers who purchase the Stanley Slim Grinder (SG7100), which was released in the second half of 2020. Customers can easily enter by photographing the serial number and receipt of their purchased product and uploading the images and application details on the event page. Among customers who purchase the product at online and offline dealers, the first 3,000 entrants will receive a DeWalt suspender (DWST80915-8).

The Stanley Slim Grinder features a rated power of 750W and a 179mm slim body, designed to fit Korean hands perfectly. With powerful motor performance, it delivers outstanding capability in cutting tasks such as metal grinding and polishing.
