Showcasing art and technology with Quick-Step flooring accompanied by ballet
The innovative technology and beauty of Quick-Step flooring paired with a ballet performance

Shinmyung Maru participated in the 2024 Space Design Fair, held at COEX from July 31 to August 3, presenting the innovative patented technology and beautiful design of Quick-Step flooring under the theme ‘From Technology to Art.’
At this exhibition, the company presented a ballet (pas de deux) performance on its flooring through a collaboration with ballerina Shin Su-in (Balletfit Seoul) and ballerino Choi Han-jun, offering visitors the opportunity to experience the artistic beauty of the flooring firsthand through the refined artistry of ballet’s graceful movements.
The Space Design Fair is a leading event where the latest interior trends and design solutions can all be found in one place, featuring not only finishing materials but also a wide range of items such as furniture, lighting, and AI solutions. At this exhibition, Shinmyung Maru operated its own dedicated feature pavilion, preparing a variety of attractions and hands-on experience booths.
Quick-Step flooring boasts several distinctive features made possible by its proprietary technology. Uniclic technology simplifies the installation process and provides a robust locking system, enabling more stable flooring installation. Pressebevel technology precisely finishes the edges of the flooring to achieve a premium finish, while the Unicote finish protects the surface with enhanced durability, allowing the flooring to retain its beauty for a long time.
The most important elements in interior design are practical functionality, beautiful design, and eco-friendliness. Quick-Step flooring is a high-end brand that satisfies all three of these elements, enjoying high consumer satisfaction. As eco-friendly flooring imported from Belgium, it holds numerous global certifications, and with 100% waterproof functionality and excellent surface strength, it offers durability that allows for consistent, long-term use. In addition, with hundreds of colors and designs available, consumers can choose products to suit their personal tastes.
Kwon Hyuk-tae, CEO of Shinmyung Maru, added, “With flooring, it is often difficult to accurately envision how it will look after installation from just partial samples or photographs, so this exhibition would have been a great opportunity for consumers preparing for interior renovations,” and “we presented the true nature of Quick-Step flooring, which combines outstanding technology with artistic aesthetics.”
