Unveils spaces applying the color trends at the Korea Build exhibition
Decorated with three signature products from UNILIN's 'Quick-Step' flooring

Shinmyung Maru (CEO Kwon Hyuk-tae), which imports and distributes Belgian company UNILIN's eco-friendly 'Quick-Step' flooring in Korea, unveiled a '2024 Interior Trend Space' embodying the interior trends selected by UNILIN for this year at the 'Korea Build' exhibition held this past February.
Each year, UNILIN selects keywords that become the interior trends, and this year it chose 'eco-friendliness' and 'sustainability' as its main keywords while presenting a variety of colors. In response, Shinmyung Maru unveiled three living rooms reflecting the color trends, built around three of Quick-Step's signature products as the main concept.
The first, the 'Hybrid Living Room,' creates a chic and luxurious atmosphere with the 'Muse' black slate product, which reproduces the look of black stone. With calm, weighty black and blue tones as its main palette, the stone-like product—hard to believe it is actually flooring—makes for an especially appealing space. With excellent surface hardness and outstanding durability, the product allows for an even wider range of colors. The second, the 'Parquet Living Room,' captures the warm sensibility of solid wood flooring, creating a cozy atmosphere centered on ivory and green tones. Finished with 'Castello' natural heritage oak matte—the same flooring used throughout every guest room at the Jeju Dream Tower Grand Hyatt—it exudes a warm and subtle mood. Parquet flooring, which offers everyday water resistance, is a premium product with a wide range of applications regardless of a space's purpose—residential as well as commercial—and is easy to maintain. The third, the 'Alpha Vinyl Living Room,' uses pebble concrete from 'Illume,' one of the new products, to create a light atmosphere with a refined tone and manner. Large ivory-toned accessories set a bright and calm overall mood, while pink-toned objets add accent points. The Alpha Vinyl newly introduced by Quick-Step is an LVT product made entirely from 100% PET bottles; applying a click system, it is a tile-format product that can be installed cleanly without grout lines.
Shinmyung Maru CEO Kwon Hyuk-tae added, "Quick-Step flooring can create the warm atmosphere that is the 2024 trend, as well as a variety of moods with its rich color palette. On top of that, it offers functionality such as 100% water resistance and excellent surface hardness that resists scratches, along with durability that keeps its appearance for a long time, making it flooring that consumers can use with complete peace of mind," and, "Anyone who knows Quick-Step flooring will no longer need to hesitate in choosing a flooring material out of concern over maintenance difficulties."
