2023 Korea Architecture Industry Fair
Presented with the Association President's Commendation
Shinmyung Maru Co., Ltd., a company specializing in the import and installation of flooring, announced that it received the Association President's Commendation from the Korea Institute of Registered Architects (KIRA, President Seok Jeong-hun) at the 2023 Korea Architecture Industry Fair, in recognition of its significant contributions to Korea's architectural culture industry through its 'Quick-step' products, which are not only eco-friendly but also boast durability and functionality.
Participating in the Korea Architecture Industry Fair (KAFF 2023), Shinmyung Maru showcased Quick-step, an eco-friendly flooring brand from Belgium. Quick-step boasts outstanding durability and near-perfect scratch-resistance technology, and demonstrated its superior surface-strength technology by having someone roller-skate directly on the flooring at the exhibition hall.
In addition, the company set up a water tank where visitors could see the 100% waterproofing technology of the flooring surface with their own eyes, as well as a corner where visitors could experience assembling the flooring themselves using the Uniclic system, a world-patented technology—allowing visitors to directly verify the flooring's excellent functionality.
Above all, this exhibition allowed visitors to confirm not only the functionality and durability of Quick-step but also its sustainability and eco-friendly characteristics, which have recently emerged as key topics, thereby presenting a new standard in the architecture and flooring fields. Various eco-friendly certifications could be viewed on-site, and through these certifications, architects could verify the diverse benefits of obtaining eco-friendly building certification, drawing a favorable response from visitors.
