Part of KCC Glass's Home CC Classroom Project, a Social Contribution Initiative
Around 50 Children Attending Home CC Classroom Branches No. 4 and No. 5 in Incheon
KCC Glass (CEO Kim Nae-hwan) held an eco-friendly education program for children using the Home CC Classroom, a child welfare facility located in Seo-gu, Incheon.
This education program was carried out as part of the Home CC Classroom project, one of KCC Glass's social contribution activities. The Home CC Classroom project draws on the expertise of 'Home CC Interior,' KCC Glass's specialized interior brand, to remodel aging child welfare facilities and create a safe, comfortable, and high-quality educational environment for children. Along with the facility remodeling, the program also provided children with a variety of educational opportunities.
This year, KCC Glass signed a business agreement with Seo-gu, Incheon, and opened Home CC Classroom branches No. 4 and No. 5 at the Yeonhui Community Child Center and the Saemmul Community Child Center within the district. This education program was held for about 50 children using these facilities over a total of four sessions through September 25.
Children participating in the education program spent time learning about eco-friendly building materials by making their own paper houses out of corrugated cardboard together with professional instructors. They also took part in an upcycling experience, making key rings out of toys that were no longer in use. KCC Glass executives and staff, along with Home Muse'd, the supporters group for Home CC Interior, took part as mentors to assist the children in their educational activities.
A KCC Glass official said, "We planned this education program to teach growing children the value of the environment and the importance of environmental protection," adding, "Going forward, we will continue to strive to help children develop the right awareness, nurture their dreams, and grow through the Home CC Classroom, even if only in a small way."
