Provides materials for architect Choi Wook's work at the Incheon Living Design Fair
EAGON Windows' system windows recognized for excellent design and thermal insulation performance
EAGON Windows, Korea's leading system window company, announced that it supplied interior building materials, including aluminum system windows, for the exhibition work of architect Choi Wook, who participated in the '2020 Incheon Living Design Fair (ILDF)' held at Songdo Convensia from October 22 to 25.
The '2020 Incheon Living Design Fair' is a living exhibition co-hosted by the Incheon Tourism Organization and Design House Inc. This year's theme, 'Another Style,' shed new light on the concept of the home, which—following COVID-19—has come to play expanded roles for work and hobbies beyond simply being a residential space.
EAGON Windows supplied window products for the modular system space of the 'Small House Project' designed by architect Choi Wook (CEO of One O One Architects). This exhibition, which captured various facets of life, featured a range of EAGON's celebrated aluminum system windows, including the Grandview series 'EWS 75 TT' and the 'ESS 240 PS.'
'Designers' Choice,' where his work was exhibited, is the highlight of the Incheon Living Design Fair—a curated exhibition in which leading domestic and international designers of our time identify the year's key trend keywords and, through them, propose the direction the living industry should take. Through this exhibition, Choi Wook demonstrated the potential of a modular system designed based on human scale.
In this work, Choi Wook, working under the concept that the space a client imagines can exist in many forms, designed the 2.4×2.4m modular structure that makes up the 'Small House' so that it can be combined into any configuration.
The materials used in the 'Small House' were carefully selected to be functional, durable, and well-suited to the surrounding environment, creating a space that—while small in size—is as comfortable as any other home. The work features EAGON Windows' signature slim product, the 'ESS 240 PS,' as well as the new Grandview series 'EWS 75 TT.' Among these, the Grandview series 'EWS 75 TT' is characterized by minimized frame face thickness, reflecting the minimalist architectural trend. As the frame is reduced, the glass area increases, allowing for a wider view of the scenery from indoors and increasing the amount of natural light inside for a more comfortable environment.
