Same concept as the Milan flagship store, featuring a diverse range of products from large-format tiles to premium kitchen furniture
Atlas Concorde, Italy's No. 1 tile company, has opened a flagship store on Eonju-ro in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, maximizing its brand image while formally introducing its flagship products to the Korean market.
Atlas Concorde operates flagship stores in strategic locations around the world, aiming to strengthen the Atlas Concorde brand image and pursue direct, proactive brand marketing. Seoul is one of these key strategic locations, and the showroom was opened under the same concept as the Milan flagship store that opened in May 2020.
Spanning a total of 264㎡ (about 80 pyeong), the interior of the Atlas Concorde flagship store is distinguished by an image-driven spatial presentation centered on large-format tiles (Big Slab) instead of a display using typical tile racks, along with the installation of a new concept of premium kitchen furniture that combines high-end furniture, premium hardware, and ceramic countertops and ceramic doors. The main product dimensions on display in the showroom include 600×600㎜, 600×1200㎜, 750×750㎜, 750×1500㎜, 1200×2780×6㎜, Lastra 20㎜ outdoor, and 1620×3240×12㎜/20㎜ kitchen countertops (Natura body/Natura Vein).
Lee Jong-ryun, CEO of the Atlas Concorde Korea Representative Office, explained, “Since the Atlas Concorde office was established in Korea in 2012—the first of its kind in the world—the Atlas Concorde Korea Representative Office has, over the past 10 years, conducted marketing focused primarily on project sales. Finally, with the opening of our flagship store, Atlas Concorde Seoul, this past May, we are now able to concentrate on brand marketing,” adding, “In particular, as the share of kitchen countertop finishing materials being converted to tile products—an area until recently led by large corporations—continues to grow, I am confident that Atlas Concorde’s brand presence, backed by high quality and design, will expand.” Ceramic (porcelain) tiles, which combine beauty and function while being hygienic and eco-friendly, are now rapidly emerging as the star of the kitchen. Ceramic (porcelain), with its water absorption rate of 0.1% or less, truly proves its worth in the kitchen.
Tile designs applicable to every space, all solved in one place~
Atlas Concorde, a leading Italian tile brand, exports ceramic tiles to some 120 countries worldwide and leads trends as a frontrunner in the ceramic tile market not only in Italy but across the globe. It is also the world’s top tile brand, investing more than 10% of its annual revenue in research, development, and innovation, and achieving continuous growth.
Atlas Concorde produces both ceramic (earthenware/wall tiles) and porcelain (stoneware/floor tiles), and with the recent addition of Big Slabs for kitchen countertops, it holds a competitive edge by enabling tile designs applicable to every space—from interior and exterior walls, floors, and building façades to kitchen countertops and kitchen furniture doors.
The ‘Marvel’ series, Atlas Concorde’s signature marble-design collection, was developed in collaboration with the Italian stone company SAVEMA, which selects the finest marble designs so that the best natural marble is reborn as ceramic (porcelain) tile. Amid a flood of marble-design products from many Italian companies, the reason Atlas Concorde’s marble designs stand out is that they comfortably reproduce the natural feel of real stone, allowing the material to harmonize seamlessly with the surrounding interior without any sense of incongruity when used as an architectural finishing material. Refined yet understated elegance is Atlas Concorde’s greatest strength.
Atlas Concorde’s ‘Prism’ collection is a vivid-color Big Slab ceramic (porcelain) tile developed in collaboration with the renowned Italian architect and furniture designer Piero Lissoni. It offers a fresh new experience for designers and customers weary of traditional marble and stone patterns.
Standard ceramic (porcelain) tiles are 9㎜ thick, while Big Slabs (1200×2780㎜) are produced at 6㎜ thickness. In addition, 20㎜-thick outdoor tiles are widely used for gardens and pool decks, and have recently gained popularity for building façades in particular. All ceramic (porcelain) tiles of 9㎜ and 6㎜ thickness can be used on building façades. However, which thickness of tile to use is determined by the installation method and cost. The 20㎜-thick tile is not only superior to natural stone in terms of design and function, but is also an ideal product to which the most economical and stable installation method can be applied.
Lee Jong-ryun, CEO of the Atlas Concorde Korea Representative Office, said, “Marble and natural stone of good quality and design are limited, but above all they can damage nature, so ceramic (porcelain) tiles recently reborn with marble, natural stone, and wood designs have begun to be recognized as materials superior not only in design but also in function to natural architectural finishing materials,” and added, “Moreover, as marble- and natural-stone-design ceramic (porcelain) tiles have grown larger (1200×2780㎜, 1620×3240㎜, etc.), they are even demonstrating superiority in design over marble and natural stone, which cannot be produced in such large formats.” 02-541-5530
