Chamsul Tech Commercializes ‘T-LINKER,’
a First in Korea
Chamsul Tech announced that it has commercialized ‘T-LINKER,’ a smart-summon-based system that—for the first time in Korea—can automatically call a self-driving vehicle all the way to the underground building entrance, and that it will roll the system out sequentially across 20 apartment complexes nationwide (roughly 13,000 households).
The core of this system is that, even in underground parking environments where GPS signals cannot be received, it enables a self-driving vehicle to be automatically summoned to the front of the user's building entrance via a smartphone application.
Until now, self-driving vehicles have advanced technologically, yet they have still faced many constraints in everyday life. In particular, most underground apartment parking areas are structurally unable to receive GPS signals, which has been a representative obstacle preventing the use of vehicle summoning or precise autonomous driving functions. For this reason, major self-driving electric vehicle brands, including Tesla, have also faced the limitation that smart summon functionality is restricted in underground spaces.
By overcoming these existing limitations and becoming the first in Korea to commercialize a system that enables self-driving summoning in underground parking lots, Chamsul Tech has set a new standard for domestic autonomous driving technology. The system applied this time consists of three core elements that combine image-based location recognition technology with a self-driving summon algorithm. These three technologies are linked with Chamsul Tech's image-based parking guidance system and are designed to be applicable in various underground apartment parking environments without any additional devices.
