‘Technology for Forming and Manufacturing Partition Windows Using Frame-Reinforcing Joiners’

Excellent Insulation and Airtightness, Grade 1 Energy Consumption Efficiency Rating

Jaehyun Skywindow, a specialized brand for interior and architectural interior/exterior finishing materials, announced that it has obtained Green Technology Certification from the Ministry of Environment for its ‘Technology for Forming and Manufacturing Partition Windows Using Frame-Reinforcing Joiners,’ which is applied to its ‘Elevation Partition Double Window (255㎜/JBF-255RB).’

The Green Certification, administered by the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT), is a system for certifying and supporting promising green technologies or businesses under the ‘Framework Act on Low Carbon, Green Growth.’ Green Technology Certification recognizes technologies that minimize greenhouse gas and pollutant emissions through the conservation and improved efficiency of energy and resources across all social and economic activities.

The ‘Elevation Partition Double Window,’ which incorporates the technology for which Jaehyun Skywindow has now obtained Green Technology Certification, is a product suitable for fall prevention in high-rise villas, officetels, and similar buildings, and is characterized by its outstanding insulation and airtightness. In particular, by applying laminated safety glass to the lower part of the horizontal bar, it enables fall prevention without an external railing while also securing the maximum possible view.

In addition, elevation partition windows can be freely formed within the existing sash structure, and the horizontal and vertical partition zones can be configured in a variety of ways, thereby minimizing modification of the existing sash structure. At the joiner, the frame and the horizontal frame are closely joined in a vertical direction, so that after vertical cutting they can be assembled immediately and fastened by pulling from the rear, thereby improving airtightness.

In particular, the joiner's fastening method leads to improvements in airtightness and thermal transmittance. The product's thermal transmittance is 0.735W/㎡K and its airtightness performance is 0.87㎥/㎡h, earning a Grade 1 Energy Consumption Efficiency Rating and satisfying the Green Certification technology standards of an insulation performance of 1.0W/㎡K or less and an airtightness performance of 1㎥/㎡h or less.

Jaehyun Skywindow explained, “The applied technology is used in a product that has received Low Carbon Product certification among products certified under the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), and by disclosing carbon emission information and obtaining certification, it is contributing to the spread of a market-driven, low-carbon consumption culture.”
