NCO String Sextet

The '36th Eagon Music Festival', hosted by the Eagon Park Young-joo Cultural Foundation, will be held from November 15 to 20 in five cities across the country.

The festival will open with a performance at Lotte Concert Hall in Seoul on November 15, followed in sequence by ▲Busan Cultural Center in Busan on November 16 ▲Concert House in Daegu on November 17 ▲Gwangju Arts Center in Gwangju on November 19 ▲Art Center Incheon in Incheon on November 20, meeting classical music lovers nationwide across a total of five performances. This year's 36th Eagon Music Festival invites the world-renowned 'The Norwegian Chamber Orchestra (hereinafter NCO) String Sextet'.

Founded in 1977, the NCO is a leading chamber orchestra composed of 26 of Northern Europe's finest musicians. Highly regarded in the international classical music scene for its refined tone and innovative stage compositions, it has drawn attention for creative stagings that break down boundaries by combining classical music with poetry readings, theater, visual arts, and various other artistic genres. At this Eagon Music Festival, six musicians representing the NCO will take part, presenting a wide-ranging repertoire spanning from the Baroque period to contemporary music, interpreted with their own distinctive sensibility and energy.

Meanwhile, the Eagon Park Young-joo Cultural Foundation, sponsored by Eagon Windows & Doors, Eagon Industrial, and others, has continued its cultural sharing and social contribution activities since 1990 through the 'Eagon Music Festival', a free classical music concert series. The Eagon Music Festival is the oldest music-related sharing event hosted by a Korean company and has established itself as one of Korea's representative Mecenat (arts patronage) activities. In addition to the free classical concerts, it operates a variety of programs such as an Arirang arrangement competition and master classes, while also devoting efforts to supporting gifted young musicians.
