Unveils Three ‘Angel Care’ Products for Patients with Musculoskeletal Conditions

Draws Positive Response from Visitors with Its Bathroom Care Products

JOEYFORLIFE, a company specializing in the manufacturing and distribution of bathroom products, participated in the ‘K-HOSPITAL HEALTH TECH FAIR 2023’ and successfully wrapped up the event.

The ‘KHF 2023’ fair was held over three days, from September 14 to 16, at COEX. Marking its 10th anniversary this year, the event provided a venue to showcase convergence technologies set to lead the future medical industry in line with the ‘Healthcare 4.0 era,’ in which digital innovation enables personalized medical care, health management, and caregiving.

As a company leading a new bathroom culture centered on people and the environment, JOEYFORLIFE used this fair to unveil three Angel Care products developed as part of its assistive device business for the elderly, pregnant women, people with disabilities, and other musculoskeletal patients with limited mobility. Through demonstrations and hands-on programs of these bathroom care products—designed to make bathroom and restroom spaces easier and more convenient to use—the company drew great interest and a positive response from visitors.

The ‘Angel Bath™,’ which is installed inside a bathtub, features an ergonomic design in which the powered lift function tilts up to 54 degrees when fully lowered, providing a stable and comfortable bathing experience. Equipped with six powerful suction pads for enhanced safety, its foldable, multipurpose storage structure makes it easy to transport and carry.

The ‘Angel Lift™’ is an electronic assistive device that effectively helps adjust the seat height up and down with a simple lifting operation. Rising to a height of about 477 to 500 mm, it assists users who experience back pain or have difficulty sitting and standing, enabling a safe and convenient bathroom life.

The ‘Angel Shower™,’ which offers total solution care, comes with an attached shower chair so users can comfortably enjoy a shower while seated. With shower sprays installed for the shoulders, arms, back, and waist, it provides an easy seated showering experience. The three Angel Care products are expected to be highly useful in settings such as hospitals and nursing homes, and JOEYFORLIFE plans to sell them through its official online store in the future.

A JOEYFORLIFE official said, “Because these are bathroom care products that have been hard to come across in Korea, the response on-site seemed to be enthusiastic. We will make efforts on multiple fronts so that JOEYFORLIFE’s three Angel Care products can be satisfying for those in need of care,” adding, “We will continue to take the lead in realizing personalized medical services by developing technologies that can be applied in actual medical settings and homes.”

Meanwhile, JOEYFORLIFE is also working on developing an ‘AFD System’ for detecting falls in restrooms. This monitoring platform detects all movements that occur during a fall and notifies caregivers in real time, helping to ensure a rapid response and secure the golden time after an accident. It is scheduled to launch in March 2024.
