Holds a business revitalization seminar through exchange with local companies, proposes preparations for the expansion of tile finishing materials

Amid growing expectations over whether the ‘Home Economy (Economy at Home)’—formed as people spend more time at home in the wake of the coronavirus—will serve as a catalyst to expand the interior market, a regional movement to get one step ahead of the post-corona era has been observed and is drawing attention.

Jinyoung Korea Co., Ltd. (CEO Ko Gil-seok), a company specializing in tiles and bathrooms, held a seminar and showroom tour on June 25 at Jinyoung Korea's headquarters on Samjeon-ro in Songpa-gu, inviting the heads of nearby local design firms as part of a plan to revitalize business through exchange with local companies.

Jinyoung Korea planned the seminar to expand opportunities for mutual growth through information exchange and communication with local interior design companies, as a means of responding to the post-corona era that has now become a reality. Held under the theme of ‘Change and Innovation,’ the seminar was attended by some 20 company heads running interior design businesses in areas including Songpa-gu, Gangnam-gu, and Seocho-gu.

Jinyoung Korea explained the background of the event, saying, “Tile is no longer simply a single product that decorates walls; it is continuously expanding and evolving as a core material that permeates a space to create new spatial designs,” and “We planned this seminar to communicate with experts from various fields in order to foster understanding of and appreciation for tile.”

In his welcoming remarks, Jinyoung Korea CEO Ko Gil-seok said, “As the post-corona era is expected to see reduced social activity and increased residential living, changes in the function and design of residential spaces will become an indispensable reality,” adding, “In particular, tile products are gaining attention as finishing materials that replace existing wallpaper, marble, and paint, and analyses suggest that their application rate within homes will exceed 30% going forward.” CEO Ko said, “Since its founding in 1989, Jinyoung Korea has steadily followed a single path as a specialized importer and supplier of Italian tiles, and it boasts the highest inventory rate among domestic imported-tile companies,” and “We aim to make a leap toward mutual growth together during these difficult times by offering more profitable proposals to local interior design companies.” Jinyoung Korea added, “We plan to continue holding seminars with a variety of people who share a common interest in space, and we are also accepting applications from those who wish to join the showroom tours and seminars.”

In the main seminar, Jinyoung Korea delivered content to foster understanding of and appreciation for its tiles, led by Marketing Team General Manager Kim Seon-mi, who has experience in spatial design planning and engineering, exhibition planning, and education, and toured the premium tile gallery on the first basement level of the headquarters, the Cotto d’Este flagship store on the first floor, and the promotion exhibition hall on the second floor together with the participating company heads.

Starting in 2014, Jinyoung Korea began to hold a large stock of Italian tiles as inventory and to fully establish a consumer sales system targeting the high-end remodeling market. It currently brings the finest products into Korea through direct transactions with 15 global tile factories worldwide, including those in Italy, Spain, India, and China, and it has built corporate trust in its supply volumes and delivery times through stable inventory operations, backed by large logistics warehouses in Icheon and Namyangju.

In addition, in 2016 Jinyoung Korea extensively renovated the first floor of its office building in Samjeon-dong, Songpa-gu, opening a flagship store showcasing Panaria Group brand products centered on its flagship brand Cotto d’Este, and in June 2017 it established a new 330.5㎡ (about 100 pyeong) exhibition hall in the basement of its headquarters building. The first-basement-level exhibition hall is characterized by its high ceilings, which maximize the sense of space one would feel when tiles are actually installed. Jinyoung Korea maximized the tile display effect by ordering large 1,000×2,700㎜ display stands directly from an Italian manufacturer, and it heightened consumers' desire to purchase by presenting a variety of tile products using the finest display techniques.

The first-floor exhibition hall operates a flagship store for Italy's leading tile manufacturer, the Panaria Group. The Panaria Group spared no effort in providing wholehearted support, handling all of the exhibition items and the spatial layout directly on-site in Italy. Decorated in the same manner as the Milan showroom, the flagship store evenly displays products from Cotto d’Este—the Panaria Group's top representative brand—and its sub-brands Blustyle and Panaria. 02-416-0417
