Experiential spaces created, including three model houses and a smart home package zone

Hanssem Co., Ltd. (Chairman and CEO Kang Seung-soo), a comprehensive home interior specialty company, opened the ‘Hanssem Rehaus Lotte Konkuk Star City Store’ on October 22 on the 10th floor of Lotte Department Store’s Konkuk Star City branch, spanning 1,046㎡ (316 pyeong).

Since this past March, Hanssem has been actively opening interior stores at department stores nationwide—including in Busan, Ulsan, and Daegu—centered on Lotte Department Store, and the ‘Hanssem Rehaus Lotte Konkuk Star City Store’ marks its first store located inside a department store in the Seoul area. Beginning with the Lotte Konkuk Star City store, Hanssem plans to expand its home interior store openings at department stores in Seoul, including a store opening at Lotte Department Store’s Yeongdeungpo branch this coming December.

The Hanssem Rehaus Lotte Konkuk Star City Store is a remodeling specialty store that showcases Hanssem’s installed furniture and building materials, including kitchens, bathrooms, windows and doors, flooring, wallpaper, and lighting. Gwangjin-gu, where the department store is located, has a high proportion—over 90%—of apartments more than 10 years old, resulting in strong remodeling demand, and with a large floating population of people in their 20s and 30s around Konkuk University Station, the company expects visitors of various age groups with a keen interest in home decorating.

At the store, visitors can experience three model houses that feel as if actual apartments were transplanted directly into the department store. The △Modern Beige Natural 99㎡ (34 pyeong supply area) △Modern Classic Cream 120㎡ (30 pyeong supply area) △Modern Gray2 84㎡ (25 pyeong supply area) model houses are characterized by homes designed to reflect families’ lifestyles and the latest trends, furnished with Hanssem’s furniture and building materials. Visitors can tour spaces from the entryway to the living room, kitchen, and bedroom, touch the products firsthand, and gather ideas for their own home interiors.

In particular, the Modern Classic Cream model house is furnished as a smart home applying a home IoT system. Simply using voice commands such as “Turn on the lights” or “Lower the curtains,” or pressing a smart button, allows control of lighting, curtains, and more, letting visitors experience an even more convenient home.

In addition, the ‘Kitchen Zone’ displays a variety of kitchen furniture—including Hanssem’s premium kitchen ‘Kitchenbach’ as well as Euro and Milan lines—designed in various plans such as home-bar and home-café styles. In the ‘Building Materials Zone,’ customers can touch and carefully compare Hanssem’s building materials such as windows and doors, flooring, doors, and lighting, and in the ‘Smart Home Package Zone,’ home IoT-based products such as home cameras, AI speakers, and motorized curtains are displayed, enabling shopping to realize a smart home.

At the store, remodeling specialist designers called RD (Rehaus Designer) provide customized consultation services using the 3D consultation program ‘Home Planner.’ They can render, in virtual reality, how a customer’s home will look once remodeling construction is complete, and by swapping out furniture and building materials, complete an interior design tailored to the customer’s taste.

To commemorate the store opening, Hanssem has prepared a variety of events. Customers who sign a remodeling construction contract of 10 million won or more receive up to 0.3% back in Lotte L.POINT rewards. Customers who sign a Rehaus Style Package construction contract by November and complete construction within December will receive Lotte gift certificates worth up to 1.8 million won depending on the contract amount, and customers who sign contracts of 10 million won or more will receive kitchenware on a first-come, first-served basis.

Ahn Heung-guk, President of Hanssem’s Rehaus Business Division, said, “As interest in home decorating grows, more customers want to experience Hanssem’s home interior services through diverse retail channels such as department stores, large shopping malls, and marts,” adding, “Hanssem will expand its interior stores within department stores and provide a differentiated home interior experience, including customized 3D consultation and design and the creation of model house exhibition spaces.”
