Industry-first non-face-to-face consultations with no office visit required
Easing face-to-face anxiety in the COVID era while saving time
Hansung ID (hansungid.com), a brand specializing in total interior design consulting, has become the first in Korea's interior industry to introduce and begin operating 'Intact Studio,' a non-face-to-face customer consultation service that allows clients to receive consultations without visiting the office.
'Intact' is a portmanteau of 'Interior' and 'Contact,' and also carries the meaning that customers who feel anxious about face-to-face contact due to the COVID-19 pandemic can conveniently receive consultations from 'in'side their homes. While COVID-19 has made contactless services part of everyday life across society as a whole—including retail, transportation, leisure, finance, and housing—Hansung ID is the first to introduce such a service in the interior industry.
Customers who wish to use an Intact Studio consultation can easily access it through an app, needing only a laptop or a PC connected to a webcam. From there, they can engage in two-way consultations with a Hansung ID expert. Not only can they view design drawings and 3D materials, but they can also check finishing materials such as tiles and flooring in high quality. In addition, estimates calculated in real time using 'Bono-ya Home Plan,' Hansung ID's in-house-developed estimation program, can be reviewed via screen sharing, and can also be sent directly by email upon request.
Kim Jung-taek, head of division at Hansung ID, said, "The biggest reason for operating Intact Studio is concern about infection due to COVID-19, but it also reduces the wasted time of having to visit the office multiple times during an interior project as well as the hassle of traffic congestion. With this introduction, we expect users to increase even further in the coming 'with Corona' era."
Meanwhile, Hansung ID operates 14 branches, including its main branch in Nonhyeon-dong as well as branches in Mok-dong, Bundang, and its Busan main branch. Its Daegu branch is scheduled to open in September, followed by the Godeok branch and a San Francisco (U.S.) office in October, and the company plans to soon operate Intact Studio at these offices as well. In addition, drawing on the design and construction know-how accumulated over 30 years of leading the interior industry, the company is preparing to launch 'Suri Homes' in September, a comprehensive lifestyle service that integrates home repair/maintenance, home care, and small interior work.
