Launches bathroom remodeling brand 'LIVART Bath'

Unveils 8 packages, including the prestige-line 'Terra Series'

Following its existing kitchen remodeling business, Hyundai Livart is now jumping into the 'bathroom remodeling' business.

Hyundai Livart, a total interior company affiliated with Hyundai Department Store Group, announced that it is launching 'LIVART Bath,' a specialized bathroom remodeling brand.

'LIVART Bath' is a specialized bathroom remodeling brand through which Hyundai Livart takes full responsibility for the installation of, and after-sales service for, bathroom products such as tiles, sanitary ware (washbasins and toilets), faucets, and bathroom cabinets. This marks the second time Hyundai Livart has unveiled a specialized remodeling brand, following LIVART Kitchen (kitchen furniture) in 2015.

A Hyundai Livart official explained, "We launched 'LIVART Bath' by combining 40 years of accumulated home interior know-how with the results of two years of research into bathroom configurations, functions, and designs tailored to Korea's residential environment," adding, "We have extensively applied not only bathroom storage cabinets devised by dedicated designers, but also faucets and washbasins from renowned overseas brands such as American Standard and KOHLER, as well as mirrors equipped with indirect lighting."

'LIVART Bath' offers a total of 8 bathroom packages, including the prestige line (top-of-the-range) 'Terra' series, two boutique-line packages (the Pinot Noir and Seattle series), and five L-Class line packages (Noble, Mono, Cozy Green, Cozy Pink, and Heim).

First, the 'Terra' series is a top-tier line that, for the first time among Korean interior brands, applies 'porcelain ceramic tile' to both the walls and the cabinet doors. Porcelain tile is a premium building material manufactured by subjecting natural substances such as sand to high temperatures of over 1,200 degrees and a compression process. It offers outstanding durability and hygiene management, but it is difficult to process and costs more than 50% more than ordinary ceramic tile.

The boutique line is characterized by luxurious, hotel-concept designs, while the L-Class line stands out for pairing modern designs with distinctive, sophisticated colors such as pink and green.

In particular, considering the growing importance of hygiene management amid the prolonged COVID-19 situation, Hyundai Livart is also unveiling unique accessory products. Representative examples include bronze faucets, which contain no lead and resist bacterial growth; a 'filter-integrated shower faucet' equipped with a shower filter that removes harmful substances such as chlorine; and an 'LED sterilizing recessed ceiling light' that activates a visible-light sterilization function when the bathroom is not in use.

Prices (based on 2,100 mm wide by 1,600 mm long, overlay installation) start in the 10-million-won range for the Terra series, and in the 5-million-won and 3-million-won ranges for the boutique line and L-Class line, respectively. Prices may vary depending on bathroom size and accessory selection. After a consultation is submitted through the Livart online mall (Livart Mall) or a Livart showroom, installation proceeds following an on-site inspection and other steps. Installation is currently available only in the Seoul metropolitan area and the cities of Busan and Ulsan, with plans to expand nationwide from early 2021.

Alongside the launch of 'LIVART Bath,' Hyundai Livart is also building out its sales network. It has already installed 'LIVART Bath' showrooms at directly operated showrooms such as Livart Giheung, Livart Busan, and Hyundai Premium Outlet Space One, and plans to operate specialized showrooms at its directly operated Yongsan and Bundang showrooms next month, while continuing to expand its sales channels by utilizing LIVART Kitchen (kitchen furniture) dealerships and directly operated showrooms.

A Hyundai Livart official said, "Starting with the 'LIVART Bath' business, we will get our domestic remodeling business into full swing and establish ourselves as a total interior company that provides one-stop remodeling construction services for the entire home—covering not only existing furniture but eventually bathrooms, windows and doors, and flooring."
