Advanced Maintenance Service

Global Market Entry in the Second Half

Hyundai Elevator's maintenance service 'MIRI,' launched last June, has surpassed 25,000 units in just eight months.

Incorporating the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), cloud and big data, and robot integration technologies, 'MIRI' has dramatically reduced downtime caused by breakdowns through △component lifespan measurement △fault detection and classification △pre-failure detection alerts. In particular, it has been praised for improving maintenance efficiency by notifying managers of elevator status in real time via a smartphone app and an online portal site. Operating on the MIRI API (Application Programming Interface), MIRI offers not only integration with various systems but also scalability. Representative services include 'MIRI View,' which uses intelligent video and audio analysis technology to notify managers or the customer center of emergencies or abnormal situations inside the elevator for a rapid response; 'MIRI Call,' which enables remote calls through AI assistant systems such as Siri and Bixby; and integration with building management systems (BMS), delivery robots, and more.

A company official said, "MIRI, which was initially adopted mainly at large-scale sites such as hotels, resorts, administrative towns, and premium apartment complexes, is now being rapidly adopted at studio apartment buildings, small buildings, and multi-household housing as well."

Hyundai Elevator plans to increase the number of MIRI-equipped sites to more than 100,000 units by 2028 through additional contracts of over 20,000 units annually. In particular, it intends to launch the service in overseas markets in the second half of this year and expand it into a global business.
