Kumho Petrochemical strengthens website design and enhances user convenience

Continued expansion of contactless services and customer experience content

Kumho Petrochemical (CEO Baek Jong-hoon) announced that its building-materials brand Hugreen won the Grand Prize at the ‘Web Award Korea’ on December 16 of last year, marking its second consecutive win following 2020.

Now in its 18th year, the ‘Web Award Korea’ is Korea’s most prestigious awards ceremony, in which a panel of some 4,000 internet experts selects the most innovative and outstanding websites.

Kumho Petrochemical launched a full-scale push into the B2C windows and doors market in the first half of this year, carrying out a sweeping website renewal to broaden its points of contact with general consumers and enhance convenience.

The Hugreen website (www.hugreen.kr) earned high marks for effectively arranging simple yet highly visible content in consideration of diverse device environments such as web and mobile. In addition, its use of a green-toned brand color and images of model Shin Min-a to reinforce a sophisticated and premium image served as the foundation for its second consecutive Grand Prize win.

In November of last year, in response to the COVID-19 era, Hugreen further enhanced consumer convenience by launching a ‘Self-Estimate and Installation Consultation Service’ that allows customers to easily check windows and doors installation estimates and request consultations online. It also recently added a quick-menu feature to further improve consumers’ access to its services.

Heo Kwon-wook, head of Kumho Petrochemical’s Building Materials Business Division, said, “We are steadily improving the functionality of our website to keep pace with the contactless era,” adding, “We will also expand the introduction of content aimed at delivering a valuable customer experience for the Hugreen brand.”
