SK Magic has newly launched two 2023 models of its 'Core Air Purifier,' targeting the 'pet family' consumers who regard their companion animals as members of the family.
The newly released 'Core Air Purifier' lineup consists of the 'Core PET Air Purifier,' optimized for households with pets, and the 'Core MAX Air Purifier,' equipped with an ultra-powerful turbo mode.
First, the 'Core Pet Air Purifier' adds a detachable pet-dedicated filter called the 'Pet Double Care Filter' to intensively manage pet hair and dust while extending the performance and service life of the all-in-one care filter. A key feature is the 'Pet Mode' function, which runs at maximum air speed for 20 minutes to quickly remove airborne dust, hair, and litter odors from the air. The 'Core Max Air Purifier' applies the ultra-powerful turbofan technology used in aircraft engines to draw in polluted air more powerfully, and the detachable Pet Double Care Filter can also be applied. The control panel is designed with four touch buttons for power, cleaning intensity, and more, enhancing ease of use, while an ultra-precision sensor detects ultrafine dust in real time to continuously manage air quality. In addition, a four-level color LED light and a numerical dust concentration display indicate the state of the indoor air.
SK Magic launched air purifiers for pet families because the related market is expected to grow. According to the 'National Awareness Survey on Animal Protection' recently announced by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, out of the 5,000 respondents aged 20 to 64 nationwide, 1,272 people (25.4%) said they personally raise companion animals in their homes. Among households raising companion animals, 75.6% (multiple responses allowed) said they keep dogs, 27.7% said they care for cats, and 7.3% responded that they raise fish.
An SK Magic official said, "Since most companion animals are dogs and cats, we determined that the importance of managing hair and odor will continue to rise, which led us to launch these new products."
