KCC Glass (Chairman Chung Mong-ik) has launched the ‘CULLINAN’ series of ultra-high-insulation double Low-E glass, which boasts the world's best insulation performance.

Low-E glass is a product that enhances insulation and reflectivity by coating a thin film of metal and ceramic on the interior surface of the glass. Depending on the number of metal-layer coatings, it is classified as single Low-E glass when coated once and double Low-E glass when coated twice. The more coatings applied, the higher the insulation performance; however, exceeding two coatings raises the price without significantly improving insulation performance, making it less economical.

The newly launched ‘CULLINAN series’ is a double Low-E glass product that achieves the world's best insulation performance based on KCC Glass's innovative technology. Based on a 26㎜ insulated glass unit, it has a thermal transmittance (U-value) of 0.97W/㎡K, the best thermal transmittance among all double Low-E glass products in existence worldwide. In addition, its LSG (Light to Solar Heat Gain) coefficient, which gauges the performance of the coating film, is 2.25, the world's highest level among double Low-E glass products, enabling bright interiors while maintaining high insulation performance.

Starting with the launch of the light blue ‘MZT152’ product, KCC Glass plans to release additional ‘CULLINAN series’ products in various colors such as silver and gray within this year, broadening the range of consumer choices.
