LG Electronics captured the attention of people worldwide with its 'LG SIGNATURE OLED T' at 'CES2024,' the world's largest home appliance and information technology (IT) show.
As a self-lit OLED TV, the product maintains outstanding picture quality while adding transparent OLED that lets you see beyond the screen along with wireless AV transmission and reception technology, redefining the TV viewing experience. According to LG Electronics, "Its defining feature is that, when powered off, you can see beyond the screen as if through clear glass," adding, "As a result, it offers an open, airy feel as well as outstanding harmony with the surrounding interior."
The 'LG SIGNATURE OLED T' has already been highly praised across a wide range of areas, receiving a total of five awards in four categories—including the CES 2024 Best of Innovation Award—covering ▲Video Displays ▲Video & Image Processing ▲Embedded Technologies and ▲Content & Entertainment.
Since launching the world's first OLED TV in 2013, LG Electronics has continuously introduced innovative products such as the rollable OLED TV and the wireless OLED TV, consistently delivering differentiated customer experiences. In the case of the 'LG SIGNATURE OLED T,' it addresses the pain point (the point at which customers feel discomfort) of customers who feel that a black TV screen detracts from their home interior. By eliminating all cables except the power cord, it achieves a higher level of minimalism and reduces constraints on where it can be installed. In particular, it offers a customized viewing experience through two screen modes: 'Transparent Mode' and 'Black Screen Mode.' 'Transparent Mode' provides a sense of depth not felt with other TVs. For example, when viewing media art of fish swimming, the space behind the screen and the content overlap, giving a three-dimensional feel as if fish are actually swimming within your own space. In 'Black Screen Mode,' you can enjoy movies, games and more with the superb picture quality of the 77-inch, 4K resolution OLED. The screen mode can also be easily changed with the remote control. The 'Alpha 11 Processor,' an OLED-exclusive picture and sound engine with enhanced AI performance, and webOS, LG Electronics' smart TV platform marking its 10th anniversary, further highlight the strengths of the transparent OLED T. According to LG Electronics, the Alpha 11 Processor, based on AI performance four times more powerful than the previous Alpha 9, improves graphics performance by 70% while also making webOS app processing speed 30% faster.
Park Hyoung-sei, President of LG Electronics' Home Entertainment (HE) Company, said, "The world's first wireless transparent OLED TV is a product that redefines the customer's screen experience," adding, "We will go beyond the limits of the TV to deliver a customer experience the world has never seen before."
