LG Electronics has launched six new products in its ‘LG Comfort Kit’ line. The ‘LG Comfort Kit’ is a range of assistive accessories that help anyone—regardless of gender, age, or disability—use LG Electronics home appliances with ease, first introduced by LG Electronics in March as an industry first in the home appliance sector. With this latest addition, the Comfort Kit lineup now comprises 13 products.
The six newly added Comfort Kit products consist of both new and upgraded items that enhance the convenience and accessibility of home appliances. Representative examples include the ‘Induction Silicone Pad’ and ‘Water Purifier Silicone Cover,’ which add braille markings and openings to the touch area to assist visually impaired users with touch operation. Also included are the ‘Robot Vacuum Color Sheet,’ which attaches to a robot vacuum to make its location easy to identify, and the ‘Refrigerator Rotating Shelf,’ which makes it easy to retrieve items stored deep inside the refrigerator. In addition, the ‘Tiiun Mini Easy Handle’ maximizes convenience by allowing users with limited hand movement to easily detach the seed kit, while the ‘Refrigerator Easy Handle (Door Slim)’—a thinner version of the Refrigerator Easy Handle (Door) released in March—is also being introduced.
To develop these new products, LG Electronics visited households already using the existing Comfort Kit to analyze customer pain points (areas of inconvenience) from multiple angles, and conducted field tests in collaboration with Seoul Rehabilitation Hospital, carrying out development from the perspective of real users.
Ryu Jae-cheol, President and Head of the Home Solutions (HS) Company at LG Electronics, said, “The Comfort Kit goes beyond a simple assistive device to play an important role in creating home appliances that anyone can use with ease,” adding, “We will continue to introduce Comfort Kits that respect diversity and make life more convenient for every customer.”
Meanwhile, customers with disabilities who own LG Electronics appliances compatible with the Comfort Kit, as well as senior customers aged 65 or older with physical difficulties, will be provided with the seven existing Comfort Kit products free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis. New ‘LG Comfort Kit’ products can be purchased on the official LG Electronics website. 1544-7777
