LG Electronics has launched the 'LG tiiun mini,' a new indoor gardening appliance that lets you easily grow companion plants even on a tabletop.
LG Electronics explained that it developed the 'LG tiiun mini' with a smaller size and lower price so that customers—who increasingly want to find psychological comfort by growing companion plants as they spend more time at home—can more easily get started with indoor gardening.
With the 'LG tiiun mini,' you can grow plants effortlessly simply by installing a seed kit, adding water and nutrients, and turning on the LED light. It is small enough to be placed on a bedside table, an office desk, a dining table, and more. In particular, the 'LG tiiun mini' has an open design without a separate door, so you can watch and enjoy your plants growing up close. The LED light on top of the product helps plants grow healthily even in spaces that get little sunlight. Once the plants have grown to a certain height, you can install the extension rod stored in the bottom of the product to raise the height of the LED light even further. In addition, you can cultivate plants using a seed kit that contains the seeds, growing medium, and more in an all-in-one form. Because the seed kit does not use soil, there is no need to worry about soil dust, and a wide variety of plants can be grown, including flowers, herbs, and vegetables.
The 'LG tiiun mini' will first offer three types of dedicated seed kits: ▲the 'Lovely and Precious Package A,' which combines orange marigold flowers with bok choy, a vegetable that can be used in cooking; ▲the 'Fragrant and Precious Package A,' which lets you enjoy salads with arugula and vitamin greens; and ▲the 'Green and Precious Package A,' made up of ssamchu and green leaf lettuce for enjoying crisp wrap vegetables. The company plans to continue expanding its lineup of seed kits going forward.
In addition, when you link the new product with the LG ThinQ app on your smartphone, you can check in the app whether the water level and temperature are suitable for the plants' growth, and you can adjust the length of time the LED light stays on, the brightness of the light, and more. The LED can also be used as mood lighting.
The 'LG tiiun mini' is priced at 199,000 won based on the manufacturer's price, and the 'Fragrant and Precious Package A' is included as standard with your first purchase.
