LG Hausys has launched the ‘LG Z:IN Ventilation System,’ a window-integrated indoor air quality management solution installed beside windows that face the outdoor air in spaces such as living rooms and bedrooms.
The ‘LG Z:IN Ventilation System’ is a product that lets you comfortably manage indoor air through ventilation without opening the windows. A detection sensor inside the product automatically senses indoor air quality, discharging indoor air polluted with carbon dioxide, volatile organic compounds, and the like to the outside while drawing outdoor air into the room, thereby maintaining comfortable air quality. At this point, the outdoor air introduced into the room passes through the product’s triple filter—a pre-filter, a deodorizing filter, and a HEPA filter (H13 grade)—which filter out fine dust and other particles.
In particular, unlike conventional air purifying products, which manage air quality by filtering indoor air, the ‘LG Z:IN Ventilation System’ works by replacing polluted indoor air with outdoor air that has passed through the triple filter, making it more effective at lowering the concentration of carbon dioxide in indoor air. In addition, it employs a heat exchanger that exchanges the thermal energy between the indoor air being discharged and the outdoor air being drawn in during ventilation, reducing heating and cooling energy loss. This makes it more efficient at maintaining indoor temperature than natural ventilation, which relies on opening windows, even in cold weather like these days.
Furthermore, when the home IoT application ‘LG Z:IN Link’ is installed on a smartphone, the ‘LG Z:IN Ventilation System’ allows users to check indoor air quality and operate the product even while away, so they can make the indoor air comfortable in advance before returning home after going out—offering outstanding ease of use.
