Broadly applicable across a wide range of settings, from home kitchens to reception desks and walls in commercial buildings

Marking the peak spring interior season, LX Hausys has unveiled its new acrylic-based engineered stone product for the domestic market, 'HIMACS Gravilla.'

LX Hausys' 'HIMACS' is an interior stone made by blending minerals and pigments into acrylic resin, and it is used in a wide variety of applications ranging from residential and commercial spaces to artists' works. The most notable feature of the newly unveiled 'HIMACS Gravilla' is that it achieves an even more luxurious and refined design by adding a pattern of feathers gently drifting across the surface, layered over the existing chip-design product in which chips are densely embedded like natural stone. In addition, a tone-on-tone technique (TONE ON TONE; rendering different levels of brightness and intensity within the same color) is applied to each of the product's base colors, expressing a deeper natural-stone surface texture than existing chip-pattern products. Furthermore, by applying a design in which the pattern repeats over short intervals, the product is easy to cut to fit the area of a space and allows seams at joints to be finished more naturally, thereby enhancing ease of installation. Thanks to this excellent workability, it can be broadly applied not only to home kitchen countertops and kitchen walls (midways) but also to reception desks and walls in hotels, hospitals, and restaurants, making it suitable for both residential spaces and commercial buildings. In particular, 'HIMACS Gravilla' is launched at a price equal to or lower than existing chip-pattern products, and about 10% cheaper than vein-pattern products (Vein; a wave-like pattern that drifts like leaf grain or feathers), and is expected to gain significant popularity in the domestic market. The 2023 new product 'HIMACS Gravilla' is launched in two colors, 'Snow' and 'Cream,' which are among the most popular colors for kitchen spaces of late, and both colors can be styled to suit any space, whether in a warm tone or a cool tone. The product dimensions are 12㎜ (thickness) × 750㎜ (width) × 3680㎜ (length).

An LX Hausys official stated, "HIMACS Gravilla is receiving great attention right from its launch, as it offers a well-rounded set of advantages including a luxurious design, ease of installation, and a relatively lower price compared to existing products," adding, "With HIMACS Gravilla at the forefront, we will further solidify our No. 1 market share position in the domestic acrylic-based engineered stone market."

Meanwhile, LX Hausys' engineered stone 'HIMACS' is drawing attention as it has been installed in the newly renovated exhibition hall of the Deutsches Museum in Munich, Germany. The chemistry exhibition hall of the Deutsches Museum was built on a scale of 1,200㎡ and includes spaces such as a medieval laboratory, an experiment space, and a large exhibition area. The double-wall structured space made from 'HIMACS' helps visitors focus on the space. The wall surfaces of the sports and leisure exhibition space abstractly express the appearance of plastic fibers seen through a microscope, while the walls of the cosmetics exhibition space are decorated in a shape reminiscent of bubbles in a bathtub. As 'HIMACS' is used at a German tourist attraction, LX Hausys expects to enjoy a promotional effect in the local market. 080-005-4000
