LX Hausys has unveiled 'LX Z:IN Selection ZEST,' a new kitchen series that applies a matte film resistant to scratches and stains to kitchen furniture doors.

The 'Selection ZEST' series is a newly launched product developed in line with the recent trend of applying materials with enhanced surface durability to kitchen furniture, along with a glare-free matte interior look. In particular, the most distinctive feature of the 'Selection ZEST' series is that it applies proprietary special coating technology—including a special curing process and a special surface treatment agent—to the furniture film on kitchen furniture doors, achieving a matte finish while also ensuring durability that resists scratches and stains, thereby addressing the durability issue that had been considered a weakness of conventional matte products. In fact, according to testing by the Italian testing institute 'CATAS,' the material used on the surface of the 'Selection ZEST' series doors obtained a test report certifying that it meets the stringent European standards (EN) in two categories: scratch resistance and stain resistance.

'CATAS' is a reputable European testing institute that global furniture companies such as IKEA commission to conduct functional testing on various products and whose results they use for marketing.

With regard to the 'Selection ZEST' series, LX Hausys has to date filed 13 patent applications and completed 3 patent registrations in Korea, and has filed 8 patents overseas, for its original furniture film special coating technology, including 'Low-gloss cured product with excellent stain resistance and method for manufacturing the same.'

The 'Selection ZEST' series is available in a total of 6 colors—Cream White, Beige, Cotton Gray, Dark Gray, White, and Night Blue—all of which enable a sophisticated and upscale matte kitchen space.
